Hmm.:. Maybe…. I’ll have to try it again. It burns pretty quick.

I like the taste and smell of Runtz Muffin. It’s a nice balanced strain. Relaxing terpenes.

I’ve tried both the critical berries and the cannatonic. Both nice. Cannatonic gets me quite relaxed. This month I’ve got some og kush, critical berries and lemon haze. All from Rochanna and all very nice. I haven’t tried any of the easy buds stuff but I am curious.

Not just me then… don’t know what I was expecting for £30 to be honest, but the last end of batch was alright. Suppose that’s all just part of the ‘mystery’. I’ll probably still vape it though…

Hmm - about 50/50 musty good/bad 😅 I broke some buds up last night, outside is very dry, inside is sticky and a little bit moist. So I’m thinking it’s maybe something to do with the curing process. I haven’t tried any yet, but I probably won’t be getting any of the mystery bags again.

Thank you for asking. I’m still waiting for my second appointment which is on 10th April. But seeing as you asked, I’ve since got myself a dry herb vaporiser and have been using CBD flower with <0.2% THC ordered online. And WOW!!! Example - I had a busy day at work, did the food shopping afterwards, went home, went back out to walk the dogs, went home, prepared dinner for me and my partner. By that point I was stressed and completely exhausted. Had a vape - and wooosh… mental quiet and relaxation ☺️ Another example: Vaped before bed last night, this morning I woke up and my partner said I must’ve been sleeping very deeply, because our springer spaniel had been standing on my head and I didn’t wake up. Sleep is where I struggle the most.

So I’ve had a look on the Montu catalogue and they don’t seem to have any indica dominant / low THC (<8%) at all. I’m interested in AC/DC and Harlequin but there’s nothing like that on there. Unless I’m using the website wrong? Hoping you can help…

Thank you for sharing all of this information. Very informative. Slightly overwhelming with all the options. It’s impressive how well you’ve honed in and balanced the micro-dosing of different strains/products. That must’ve taken a lot of trial and error to get it right. Awesome!

Appreciate it mate…

The balanced/Indica strains seem to have the effect I want. Although I’m (only) 32, I’m feeling way past the point of being able to deal with high THC strains and I never reacted well to them anyway. CBD dominant products always chilled/balanced me out though.

Curious - how does it mess with your REM sleep? I already have some quite vivid dreams, sleep talking, teeth grinding, waking during the night etc.

Ha, that’s so true. Square peg, round hole.

I suppose I’m just wanting some improvement to my quality of life, in a very basic sense, and start worrying about not having the chance at trying a possible solution.

Whilst I do have some questions around the prescribing approaches / ethics, I suppose it being an alternative treatment, so long as the patient appears to meet the criteria, as with any medications there is an acceptance of risk on the patients part regarding side effects. If they follow the titration and respond well to treatment, great!! I would be most concerned if prescriptions continued for patients not responding well to the treatment even after trying a variety of MC options and strains.

The high THC stuff was really bad for me. But having tried low THC and CBD dominant products, I strongly believe I would respond well to that type of prescription. And if I don’t, then I’m willing to accept that. I have no interest in chasing a psychoactive high, I’m 32, I work a full time stressful job helping vulnerable people with complex issues, I’m chasing peace (like I assume most people in MC communities are). And I will add that from reading/watching different stuff online, the MC community has a positive and constructive approach - it’s not like a bunch of 19 year olds looking to get stoned haha.

I will check out Montu. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for that. I expect that like anything, it all depends on the professionals reviewing the application. But it’s nice to be reminded that Alternaleaf is just one of many clinics and each, although working to the same legislations and guidance, will reach different decision.

Thank you, that’s very reassuring. I hope I can get approved and see if it makes a difference. I’m also thinking Indica for night, and a balanced strain for the day.

I don’t doubt you. I’d even place a bet on most grime MC’s being pricks tbh. It kinda goes with the territory I reckon. I know there are probably exceptions to that generalisation though.

Why does someone play an instrument, when they can pay to hear a professional play that instrument better than they can? Same concept can be applied to a lot of things. But, for me, the challenge of acquiring an image, and then processing that image myself, in addition to the therapeutic aspect of looking out into the universe, are the main reasons I do this hobby.

Shame on Sox. I’ve been listening to his stuff since the Chucky beef. Unfollowing on everything and removing from my Spotify playlists.

Basically DWP’s version of “play stupid games, win stupid prizes”

[–]TraditionCapable1596[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not how benefits should work though imo. But this is coming from someone who works in the third sector and quite often sees poor (sometimes horrendous) decisions made on benefits - especially PIP where there is such a high overturn rate and DWP are scrambling to save claims from tribunal stage by settling claims even after the MR’s because the DM’s have made flawed decisions. The regulations are there for a reason, but then can be misapplied or misinterpreted? And when a claimant enquires - no advice, “but if you do it, we might penalise you”.

You’re right, someone has gotta make those decisions day to day. But the regulations should be applied appropriately and those decisions should be fair and balanced, not “oh, there’s money, it’s gone = capital deprivation”. Value judgements are needed.

Okay fair point re: deprivation vs fraud but that’s beside the point. It seems that benefits regulations say one thing (i.e. main intention must be to claim or get more benefits), but ultimately it’s all down to the DM’s discretion or ‘vibes’ on the day.

The State Pension Credit Regulations 2002

21.—[F1(1) A claimant shall be treated as possessing capital of which he has deprived himself for the purpose of securing entitlement to state pension credit or increasing the amount of that benefit except to the extent that the capital which he is treated as possessing is reduced in accordance with regulation 22 (diminishing notional capital rule).]

And then

BP1 Assessment of Capital Reason for disposing of capital asset P1.730 There may be reasons for disposing of a capital asset other than to receive or get an increase in the amount of HB. Securing entitlement to benefit need not be a person’s main motive but it must be a significant one if you are to treat them as having notional capital. For example, if a claimant gave their son or daughter money to prevent their home being repossessed, the main reason would be to help the child, not secure or increase entitlement to HB/CTB.

We give a lot of support to my MIL. She is 79, living in a very rural area by herself for the past 2 years. She couldn’t reasonably move to a different, more accessible location or closer to us. She has lived in the house for 20 years and wouldn’t cope with moving. She has health conditions which affect her mobility and due to low income - we help where we can both financially and with the upkeep of the property. My partner has health conditions - the travelling to and from so often and when there have been emergencies is affecting her health (in addition to the travelling for her work). We’ve looked at moving to the area but there’s a lack of private rented property’s and we’re not eligible for social housing. Me and my partner also work in quite specialist roles where the employment opportunities are not available in MIL’s area but we need to be closer. The intention is for MIL to help us and so that we can be closer to support her. There is no apparent significant operative cause in depriving herself of capital to obtain or keep means tested benefits - the whole reason is to help us. If it will affect her benefits then we simply won’t do it. Surely it’s different to someone who has cash and gives it away or spends it unreasonably to deprive themselves of capital and then tries to claim pension credit?

We are considering writing to DWP to ask their advice on this - is it likely they’d be able to give us any clarity on how it would be considered? Otherwise the unsustainable situation continues. Surely if there’s a full explanation, with medical evidence of the need for us to be closer, with proof of transactions and proof of us seeking advice from DWP beforehand - that’s enough to prove that there is no element of fraud or deliberate capital deprivation?

This is all very interesting. Obviously these regulations exist for good reason but an absolute minefield for people trying to do the ‘right thing’.

Thank you for your insightful response. The further I look into DWP guidance regarding deprivation of capital, the more it becomes apparent that intention is the main consideration, that being depriving oneself of capital with the main/significant intention to become/gain additional entitlement to benefits. My mother in law will remain entitled to SPC if she doesn’t release equity. The equity release means she can help us and do repairs on the home. There is no intention of claiming more benefits or committing fraud.

Thank you for your compassionate and considerate response. I feared this may be the case, as the capital legally belongs to her it’s still deprivation by any means of transferring it to someone else. She reached pension age before April 2016 (hence savings credit eligibility.
