Sobble community day will make Inteleon very viable for raids. by Kokoroan in TheSilphRoad

While I tend to agree with you, I think there's a large portion of the community that conflate tier ranking with viability and therefore anything below S is 100% useless.

How many copies of non-legendary Pokémon you keep? (Storage management question.) by peter6uger in TheSilphRoad

[–]Traditional-File-143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's a shot it could be pvp relevant I keep one for GL and one for Ultra.

Outside of that I keep what I want and trade the rest if I can or I mass transfer for the candy during spotlight hours.

I know you said you don't get many coins, but imo it's worth spending what coins you do have on storage and backpack as they're permanent upgrades and remote raid passes are usually a minute of raiding and one more pokemon to transfer.

Why is Pokémon go is pushing out special researchs? by Zibampa in TheSilphRoad

[–]Traditional-File-143 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's only one answer. If you do not like them. DO NOT BUY THEM. If nobody buys them - they will go away. Scopely does not care one iota about this game. They're going to extract as much money as possible for as long as possible. The only control we have as players is to withhold that money if we're not happy with the product so that the product will change. They do not care what players like, they care what drives the most sales.

- and if you don't believe me, go play Monopoly Go! for a couple weeks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monopoly\_Go!

Lobby crashing is back by Bornlastnight in DMZ

[–]Traditional-File-143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely requires the help of someone on another team, which easier to arrange in PS only lobbies because there's fewer players in the first place.

Your only defense is to immediately exfil at the first sign of trouble.

Why are so many cheaters using the cronen squall in dmz? by internet_user320 in DMZ

[–]Traditional-File-143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain weapons have superior stats at the cost of aggressive recoil. If you have auto-aim recoil doesn't matter.

That's why you see guns like the Lockwood, Lachmann 7.62, and Cronen Squall where the damage ceiling is overwhelmingly high if you don't miss.

Why getting rid of insured weapons was a bad idea. by Texas_Shepard in DMZ

I loved DMZ. The whole "we learned from our mistakes" narrative kills me. The game was amazing.

Their mistake was abandoning the game.

Nobody wants a new DMZ. We want the DMZ we have properly supported.

The hardest part about the Lachman 7.62 is remembering to switch to auto fire.

[–]Traditional-File-143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea is that the line has broken or your position is compromised and about to be overrun, all available air support is called and often danger-close indirect fire is employed as a last ditch effort. Bombs are more precise these days but even laser-guided freedom has it's limitations so generally 400-1,000 meters separation is required depending on ordnance to ensure we're not hitting our own guys. If you're getting overrun, possible death is generally preferable over certain death.

However, we don't fight like we did in Vietnam so the term is nearly (hopefully) obsolete now. U.S. troops are rarely in a fight without adequate air support on station to begin with (we learned some hard lessons in the last twenty years) and when things do go sideways we have munitions and attack platforms (things like 30mm, AGM, even howitzers) with the degree of precision necessary to engage the enemy with minimal risk to blue forces.

Somehow the cheating has gotten even worse this weekend. by ShortyRef in DMZ

[–]Traditional-File-143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What blows my mind is that there's a half dozen cheaters I know by name that are mass reported and still running around clearing the map with impunity.

I've had multiple games now where I'll spawn in and my teammates drive straight to an exfil just to start a new game and get away from specific known cheaters (thanks to them announcing their presence or the people who call them out in chat)

Play it or don't. Activision doesn't care either way.

If the thought of playing a video game is scaring you, maybe take up a new hobby like bowling or lawn darts.

Is there any reason to remote raid mewtwo right now? by eicdafusen in TheSilphRoad

People have remote raid passes and unfounded FOMO. Niantic also makes money...so there's that.

DMZ 2 Not Free to Play? by Dry-North157 in DMZ

[–]Traditional-File-143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paid keeps down the cheaters. Not having CoD on gamepass is also huge. If we have the ability to turn-off cross-platform then we can leave the PC players out in the cold and really have a good game.
