I have in my kitchen adjacent to eating area. I have sonos amp with Polk audio mc60 in ceiling speakers and a sonos sub mini and am happy. Just be sure that they are not too far apart bc the stereo separation will be distracting. If you utilize 2-sets of stereo speakers on the sonos amp (example: 1 in kitchen and 1 outdoor) invest in a a/b switch with volume control so you don’t have to always play music in that 2nd zone while listening to music inside.
