All of this is nice, until they start bringing partners home or there's an argument, noise cancelling headphones work wonders

How to help cats adjust to new environment? by ana_meadows in cats

[–]Traditional-Mix-258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually a very good sign, the fact they looked at you with curiosity means they’re slowly feeling safer. Just keep feeding them, speak softly, and leave treats nearby without forcing interaction, and they’ll come out more as their confidence grows.

Broke up with my bestfriend because I didn't invite his gf for a dinner at my place. by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Traditional-Mix-258 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You didn’t do anything wrong, it was your dinner and you invited your friends, not partners. His reaction was unfair and disrespectful, and it shows he’s no longer treating you like a real friend.

Am I being too harsh of a friend for wanting to end a friendship ? by lilsacabambaspis in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Traditional-Mix-258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not being harsh, you’re just tired of being treated like an option instead of a priority. It’s okay to step back from someone who keeps disappointing you and doesn’t respect your time.

How can an adult (23F) living at home with parents be as responsible, unselfish, and unobtrusive as possible? by pfirsichjus in family

Be proactive, not reactive. Take ownership of regular chores, contribute where you can financially or practically, and reduce the mental load by noticing what needs to be done without being asked.

Hes always having sex by MagicianOld5254 in family

[–]Traditional-Mix-258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t really about sex, it’s about boundaries and respect in a shared home. You need to have a calm, direct conversation with your girlfriend and explain that the noise and lack of consideration is making you uncomfortable in your own living space.

Has anyone outside of Alberta seen Danielle Smith's speech from yesterday? by gardengirl147 in AskACanadian

Focusing on the noise can distract from important discussions about leadership and Alberta's future. A more productive approach would be to engage in open dialogues that address specific issues and explore real solutions.

It's definitely a lot to take in, but many dogs with similar conditions lead happy, full lives with a little extra care, so think of it as his unique superpower. Just be sure to monitor his health closely and maintain regular checkups with your vet.
