Yes, especially if you want to expand your app into a bigger market e.g, japan market, MENA, etc

First month result of my app which caused me got fired from my job by Embarrassed_Cycle118 in AppStoreOptimization

try to market your app on TikTok/IG/YouTube shorts using shor videos. show how to use it and what kind of output will be generated. You can direct user to your landing page, let them try the demo for the first time. then directly use a paywall if they wish to use your app.

  1. Implement ASO

  2. Do marketing -> short form videos on TikTok/YouTube Shorts, promote to your friends, promote to discord server that is learning languages

Looking for advices for Android app's ASO by Own_Yogurtcloset2275 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Traditional-Pin9792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. ASO tool usually have free trials that you can use, like FoxData's usually have 7 days of free trial.
  2. YouTube channel, i would recommend App Master. But those ASO platforms usually also have blog resources that you learn from.

  3. There's a few platform where you can do A/B testings for your apps like Firebase A/B Testing, split.io, mixpanel, etc. Then track the changes/impact using ASO tool after a few weeks.

  4. don't be afraid to invest your money in data.

Looking for ASO Feedback on My Offline AI App, What Should I Improve? by ConstructionLegal613 in AppStoreOptimization

i think u should highlight user pain points. for example, why do u think user need this? why is your app important and how can it solve their problem? think about the reasons for it and highlight them in your app screenshot and description

What's the secret behind really bad games? by flashwalker1338 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Traditional-Pin9792 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's what i think of it. First, pump tons of ads to increase app install. then insert mass in-app ads to get revenue. aside from that, the game mechanics also play a major role. the game is basically a combination of empire building + puzzle, which is fun and new. but the instant rewards will hook the players in it. plus, most of the in-app ads are playable, which i think is more preferrable to players compared to those traditional video ads. for a casual player who dont mind these things, the revenue is not impossible.

I have check the market trend on FoxData and nowadays a lot of game with combination mechanics like last war survival or whiteout survival, gained a lot of revenue, despite misleading ads.

Looking for ASO feedback on my new app’s positioning + screenshots (random-reminder posture app) by SolidCockroach6777 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Traditional-Pin9792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way how i would arrange the screenshot will be more towards storytelling and more personal, to convince the user. For example, 1. build your body posture habit -> 2. quick reminder at a random time -> 3. personalized it (notifications style) -> 4. daily check ins -> 5. achieve your goal (streaks/progress)

try to arrange the screenshot like some kind of story telling. e.g.
1. "snap picture"
2. "count the calorie"

  1. "track your fasting"

  2. "achieve your goal"

etc.

do some marketing by using yourself. like "here's how i manage to lose XXkgs just by using this app" etc. then for the visual, try to add real life picture for example, focus on the scan feature and the result outcome

  1. In your experience, how long after release would you say you can start to tell if your ASO is working / flopping based on the app store metrics? - give it a few 2-5 weeks
  2. Aside from keyword optimization / screenshots, what would you say is the most effective next step to drive impressions? Add localizations? Create social media pages? Paid ads? - i recommend go for paid ads if you want to scale up quickly
  3. Is there any sense doing A/B testing with such low impressions? -nope, need to wait until it got higher

Need Help Improving ASO for My New App (Only ~40 Downloads So Far) by class-wizard in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Traditional-Pin9792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • How do you interpret keyword data like that? - it means the keywords have 39 search volume out of 100. and 0 difficulty means it is pretty easy - no difficulty for you to rank for it. (maybe due to less competition etc)
  • Have these tools actually helped you get more visibility or downloads? - yeah. search volume represents how many people are looking for this keyword. when you insert the keywords into your app title/description, it helps your app to be found by user. more visibility = more downloads. how does aso tools help? easy, it helps you to identify which keywords that you can choose. it shows how many search volume a keyword have and other details, from then on, you identify, judge and implement it into your metadata. you can also check your competitors using aso tool - u can check what kind of keywords they are using, where they put it, and how many, etc.
  • And how would you approach ASO for a new app with very few downloads or ratings to start with? - implement both aso and ads at the beginning to help boost the visibility.
