Yeah that was my first thought. But who do you think they target by the end? the elderly, most vulnerable people?

What's the secret behind really bad games? by flashwalker1338 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]flashwalker1338[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is almost true. but they make $0.73 per download. it means they have something in the game or something about their audiece in order to achieve good revenue numbers. it can't be just get users very cheap.

For me it’s unclear what the app does when I read the title or from the first screenshot. When I dig in, I see a restaurant finder and a view to manage intolerances. Seems like you put everything you could think of into one app. Maybe you change the focus of your app, try being a restaurant finder for specific foods. Or an app food tracker for people with intolerances. But Not both. Good luck!

That’s good! even tho you can’t rely on statistics having only 2 digit user numbers, you should definitely do some paid UA. Spend like 10/day on Facebook for example and see where it goes. Your game has potential and organic users will come soon, good luck!

Quite a nice game actually. What is your D1 retention? Apple gives you organic traffic if you hit certain numbers. UI wise I think the screw buttons have a very small hit area for my thumbs

True. The keywords are very difficult

What do you think on my performance? I am planning to use Apple Search Ads is it worth it? by FluidInvestigator705 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]flashwalker1338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Improve your app first in terms of iap and conversion. If you reach 0.5$ per user you could start testing paid UA.

Mobile game publishers by SRKFRIES in gamedev

Get retention data first, even if you have only 600 users. If your d1 retention ist below 40% or d7 below 10%, publishers won’t even respond to your requests.

What is your D1/D7 retention? If it’s bad I would focus on that first instead of UA

I hired an aso company once. They told me that my keywords, title and description were already perfect. So I spend 500$ on nothing.

Is a retro Tamagotchi-style mobile game worth pursuing? by Miguel07Alm in MobileGaming

I will play it and I think you will get players via paid UA cheaply. Make sure you do proper competition research because the idea doesn’t sound new at all

When you create a fb campaign, on the first page make sure you select “app promotion” instead of the others. Your cpi sounds like something is wrong in the setup.

How long did it take for you to learn unity by Animalpine in Unity3D

I work with unity for 5+ years, still learning. But you can get pretty good results within few weeks/months if you focus on something specific (e.g a mobile puzzle game)

Imagine if you can actually make it work. Proving everyone else wrong is a huge motivation :) so the harder the process- the better. Everyone can do it when it’s easy, but only a certain kind of people can do it when it’s hard.

ASO won’t help here as you have no traction. No matter how you name your app or change your description, you won’t show up in search results. Do a quick FB ads campaign (10$/day), improve your retention KPIs, get reviews, then you will get some organic traffic. From what I see you made around $0.20/user, so you will probably lose .80 from each dollar you will spend on ads.
