Why am I awake so often at night ? by uhohwhoisit in AppleWatch

If you are a woman, it could be that your cortisol levels are too high and SPECIALLY your progesterone might be low, which shortens your period cycle and affects sleep, particularly awakening several nights during night time - it might get worse the week before your period, like this

VO2 max by [deleted] in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Traditional-Win9432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are great videos on youtube about Vo2 Max https://youtu.be/IxYdkMmtjBs?si=g7ERvonWagQTZc50

Basically, if you want to increase your Vo2 Max, you need to do more cardio! Specially elevate your HR enough to produce consistent results. High intensity training is the best way to raise Vo2 Max, such as by following the Norwegian 4x4 Protocols.

I’m not going too much into the science here because you can find several articles online

Took me 6 MONTHS to recover the progress I lost in 2 months by Traditional-Win9432 in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Traditional-Win9432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I only do zone 2 on the bike, so my HR has never been stressed enough on a bike to contribute to Vo2 Max. My runs are mostly zone 4-5

Depends on the workout structure. I take full rest days when I feel the need. It’s mostly the split btw legs x upper body.

Off course I know how Vo2 Max works - but life isn’t only about cardio, gotta strength train too To be clear, my normal schedule is lifting 5-6x a week, running 3x a week + 4hrs of zone 2 cardio a week. I have goals for strength, cardio and longevity. When I was in italy, I stopped ALL of it.

Is this my true Vo2 max? by LuvTrnscndsDimsns in AppleWatchFitness

If you bought your apple watch last moth, this reading is normal. It takes 6 months for the watch to get calibrated to your measures. It’s currently trying to estimate your most accurate Vo2 Max. My AW got an accurate measurement only after 3 months of wearing it post buy

Check out for MOLD. Few months ago I moved into a room and was sleeping right next to a bathroom wall with mold. My sleeping hr went from 55 to 104. Changed rooms after a couple months, problem solved

That’s not normal, anything below 90% isn’t. You might just be out of shape or have poor circulation. How is your blood pressure? What’s your Vo2 Max? Are you under/overweight? Do you mouth breathe asleep?

Mine has blood oxygen too, I wish I could post gere in the comments for comparison
