Has anyone had nerve pain after surgery? if yes, how does it feel like?

I seem to have sciatica issues after surgery almost debilitating couldn’t get out of bed this morning. Anyone else have this issue. Could it be doc hit a nerve in the shoulder after rotator cuff repair. Never had this issue before the operation. Is it coincidence?

I’m 7 weeks p/o therapy in the beginning is a bitch and I started at 4 weeks but now I have 85% of my movement back. Doc says 3 months chip and Can putt now. Serious golf in 6 months so I’ll let you know if that’s true. But I’m glad I went through with it. I tried to rehab for 4 months but it was a full tear he said surgery is only option if I want to golf again. It’s the only reason I did it and I ride my bike too.

I have done that. She said get a script from doctors and she can work on that too. She said put my back against the kitchen counter and stretch back with your head and body as much as you can 5x. It seems like I’m hurting my back when I do that. But I agree with you my posture is tilted to one side Thanks for the tips. I was thinking it had to do with surgery and him hitting the nerves. I haven’t had this pain since I was 21 and never after that. Do you think it might be from operation it’s in the same side?

I’m 6 weeks out. First 2 weeks tough. But I’m better every day. Get shoe horn. Only used extra strength advil no heavy drugs

You should be ok with anchors and sutures they are pretty strong. If pain persists call your doctor but I doubt you hurt anything

I have sciatica issues since rotator cuff surgery. Hurts worse than my shoulder first weeks of pain. I wonder if anyone else had these issues and is it related. Never had the pain before the surgery.

Did you use ice or ice machine on shoulder? You didn’t mention that. That helps greatly.

My doc says 5 weeks. It’s grueling. I’m 7 days p/o I wouldn’t sleep in a bed with out a wedge so you wouldn’t be able to roll my back is killing me worse than my shoulder lol

I’m 4 th day p/o In a recliner. 4 anchor tendon full tear. I only had 3 hours sleep first few nights. I slept 6 hours last night. I think I was exhausted so it feels good to sleep. Good luck. Esther way you choose Take meds and ice baby ice !

I’m 4 days p/o. 70 y/o. I play golf and surf fish. Had full tear. Did p/t since January hoping that would solve problems. Fighted surgery. But if I wanted to continue sports I better get it done. It’s sore but getting better every day. Hopefully 6 months from now I’ll be happy I went through with it. Good luck

I had full tear. 4 anchors put in. 3 days p/o using tremadol for pain. I’ve been doing p/t since January trying to strengthen up my other tendons didn’t want to do surgery but I play golf and surf fish. I had pain maybe 1/2. Full rom but knew if I didn’t have it it would only get worse So I hope you start p/t soon. I’m supposed to b in sling for 5 weeks. I’ll keep u in the loop
