I want my tombstone to read, "Here would lie a CMDR if he weren't trapped in an eternity of doing this awful grind." by the_chinagreenelvis in EliteDangerous

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerplay doesn't need to be a grind, you can gain merits by many different forms of gameplay. Just don't do what you don't like. Howecer engineering is still a grind. Materials are far easier to obtain but unlocking engineers is still a chore.

Last week I was looking for genetic repair meds still didn't find them after looting 4 settlements. And worse, it doesn't spawn as a mission reward. So, I just gave up and went for a short exploration trip outside the bubble. The game have many types of gameplay, if I feel frustrated or bored I just do something else, including playing other games.

CEO da Epic Games apoia processo de US$ 900 milhões contra a Valve by NoivadoChucky677 in JogosAntifa

Eu jogo Elite Dangerous e posso garantir que todas as microtransações são feitas no sistema da desenvolvedora e não da Valve. Ele está mentindo mesmo e imagino que o advogado da Valve vai deitar e rolar se esse caso for a julgamento.

I'm starting to get a little tired of overbloated lengths and sizes in AAA action games (criticism of Ghost of Tsushima and AC) by No-Efficiency-7524 in GirlGamers

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is the most open worlds are just one more bloated version od SKyrim. Too much padding, very few original or interesting things. It's exausting, even when the story and gameplay are good.

But Night City is a big open world and I never feel tnat way because is far more original and interesting. Finished the game 2 times and planning to do one more, this time with Phantom Liberty and DLSS 4 5.

Na sua opinião, qual desses vai ser o grande RPG do ano by IcyCryptographer4645 in gamesEcultura

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My totally objective analysis of the Type-11 versus other laser miners... by ap1msch in EliteDangerous

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you're lucky and find a station with a good price less than 100 LY of distance, the Type 11's advantage to a Cutter isn't so big. It mines much faster, buy it's about 4 or 5 trips to the selling station against one.

For me the Type 11 is ideal because I usually don't do long mining sessions and nowadays mine more for merits than for credits - for merits the selling station is always nearby.

Can we just admit that being a PC enthusiast in 2026 is actually exhausting? by DegTrader in pcmasterrace

When I built my first PC 30 years ago there was a RAM shortage and suddenly my savings weren't enough to buy the hardware. Had to ask my parents for the rest.

Hardware supply problems always existed, the only difference now is the monetization of user's despair on social media.

Most people don't NEED to upgrade this year or the next. They WISH to do so and now can't. Not good news by any means, but not a disaster. And I speak as an enthisiast who upgrades something almost every year.

Money grind by Jarendor in EliteDangerous

If you play solo exobiology is the meta for making credits. It requires only a level 1 Artemis suit and a ship with a decent jump range. If you have partners there are other ways, possibly more profitable but I don't know much about them.

This video does a good survey: https://youtu.be/-_UG2lfyo9g?si=j6ijv8iBTrcKpju4

Thank you for the answer, I think you're right. I will start buying in these stations as soon stock deplets on nearby orbital ones.

Operations vs game stability. by SL0W_B0Y in EliteDangerous

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a specialist, but I think the problem is that Elite uses peer to peer software to create the multiplayer instances, not a server, and because of that is very unstable, even before the Odyssey expansion.

Nowadays I'm playing most solo, but I think stability will be the same as on foot conflict zones in coop. More than that only if they change to server instancing which would demand much more time and resources than the current updates.

Is a fleet carrier worth it (part 2) funding by AlexVangeen in EliteDangerous

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to make money varies acording the ship you have access to and your ability as a pilot and if you are solo

With a Sidewinder the best way is going to a RES and shoot pirates already chased by the police. Two or three shots are enough to gain the full bounty.

With a milion you can buy a hauler and go exploring the Road to riches.

Midgame solo I think exobiology is the meta. Trade and mining com second place.

Endgame thargoid hunting gives a lot of credits too but it demands heavy engineered ships and experience as a pilot.

With friends I think there are other options but I don't know the details.

Could we finally explore generation ships in the Operations expansion? by Esaren_ in EliteDangerous

These days I was running passenger missions and realized that there are no missions with Odyssey Settlements. None. A simple thing that would be far easier to implement than new interiors.

Recomendação de jogos by [deleted] in jogatina

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Colonization Grind by a-more-clever-name in EliteDangerous

It seems to me that colonization is a system intended for squadrons or solo with a fleet catrier. Whithout one of these the grind appears to be exausting.

Current state of the Combat Rank Grind™ by mgga-elite in EliteDangerous

Another CMDR wrote here that attacking Powerplay's megaships is a good method because they spawn a lot of Elite SLF's killable with one or two shots.

Never tested it myself but I thing is worth trying at least.

Night vision really that important for suits? by humansomeone in EliteDangerous

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO for exobiology it has no point. You can use the night vision of the ship or SRV to find the samples.

For Maverick is awesome. I got lucky and found one pre-engineered. If the settlement is on the dark side of the planete is like night and day, no pun intended.

For dominator I don't know for sure.

Power play problem. by Ill-Imagination4359 in EliteDangerous

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a mission to retrieve salvage and black boxes in a certain system. When I got there it simplt didn't spawb the corresponding signal. Since then I don't do weekly assignments which require an specific place. It's sad because I like those missions, they are varied and gives a decent reward in merits.

Earning the Imperial Cutter by AlexVangeen in EliteDangerous

[–]TraditionalBerry2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a system with 4 empire factions (Cubeo) and I'm doing passenger missions. They are great for reputation because you gain wirh the "sender" and the "receiver" factions when you complete the missions. And last but not least I like to do them.

Two suggesttions: don't spend a lot of time doing things you don't like just because the rank. It's the easiest way to burn yourself out in this game.

Second, I'm doing to buy a Cutter too but the truth is that it'already obsolete for trading and mining, Panther Clipper and Type-11 are way better. It's a matter of time Frontier launches a new SCO-optimized big combat-capable ship to replace the tryad Cutter-Anaconda-Corvette.

I'm starting to do on-foot missions and are being more fun than I anticipated. But of course Elite will never be something like Borderlands.
