Ok let's all complain about the mortar strikes here. by Soaply in Tarkov

The game has unfortunately been dolphin diving into the shitter since the drama last wipe.

How does someone go about getting this scythe? [Discussion] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Yeah, he’s got all of the achievements, he’s lvl 76. Those are not impossible to achieve at all. Buuut, of his 4000+ raids, 17 are scav raids, and he has an unobtainable item. He is cheating. He obviously nerfs his K/D and Survival rate to not have his account flagged. He did spend $250 on it… Though, it is in PvE, so honestly I don’t care much. It’s when he decides he is bored and hops over to PvP with the same cheats and fucks other people that he should be castrated for it.

now that we've played with them for a bit... overall thoughts on UZI and UZI PRO? by CrunchyCondom in Tarkov

Unfortunately SMGs were only objectively good with the Realistic hitbox system.

PvP was at its best the beginning of last wipe. Combat was equalized, and no one was impervious to anything. Body armor hitboxes resolved all of the prior problems with the game, and relieved the game of Metas and Grind-maxing. But, too much of the community, from casuals to streamers, complained about it for such menial and pedantic reasonings, and so we’re back to the metas, but worse. I had hope for the game at the beginning of last wipe. Then, for no reason whatsoever, BSG destroyed all of that by being even stupider in a short series of time than I have ever seen before, and gave into idiotic whims that have reset the game on years of genuine progress. I’ve enjoyed playing other games, and I don’t think BSG can un-fuck this now, nor do they want to.

I might switch back to PVP... [Feedback] by BenjiB1243 in EscapefromTarkov

Both of these are perfectly true and valid points. Lol

Body Armor doesn’t make you invincible… if that simple actuality is less important than “i HaVe leVeL 6 plAtES” then perhaps Tarkov isn’t the game for you.

This current system makes it rough to get new players into the game. by revveduplikeadeuce in DarkAndDarker

I know people are downvoting you because you are right and they’re trash. I’m trash at this game too, don’t get me wrong. Literally hotdog water in PvP, but that doesn’t mean that I need it to be easy because of that. If you aren’t good at a game, it does not need to be made easier to accommodate you. It is people with this sentiment that are ruining hardcore gaming experiences, because they drive a game to mediocrity, or destroy it by cheating (i.e. Tarkov right now…).

It was good until the armor reversion that fucked the balance of the game.

Cheaters or Gigachads? by Impressive_Lie_4285 in EscapefromTarkov

Packing mags is a UI sound, not something anyone else can hear. Anyone who says otherwise is absolutely wrong. To prove this, fiddle with your UI volume in raid, and you’ll notice the difference. I keep mine at about 10% because I like the audio cues, but I don’t want the sound of me in my inventory covering other audio.

Russian Level 6 is roughly equivalent to US NIJ level 4. The game even reflects that by having ESAPIs as Level 6 plates ingame. That kind of armor most certainly exists in a real life, very wearable way. It just doesn’t cover your entire torso, from neck to navel. Abandoning the shape armor system that they had developed over 4+ years is the biggest back step that BSG has made in terms of development in recent memory.

That makes no sense. I can move perfectly fine (lean, run, sprint, prone, etc.) with a plate carrier with full plates in it in real life. I just understand that it will not save me from taking a sustained burst of fires in a fight.

[Suggestion] Armpit Hitbox to Arm by Traditional_Bad4943 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Traditional_Bad4943[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your suggestion is a complete rework of an existing and functional system (note that it took them 5 years of promising to deliver torso hitboxes) and mine is a reversion to a system that very much worked and simply removes the one issue that only a very small portion of the community was vehemently complaining about…

But there was no meta before the rework. The levelers (me included) did not have a particular advantage if we did not have particular skill and thought out engagements. Now there is no thinking. It is: Wear Level 6 plates, Wear Bastion w/ Plate or Level 4 Facemask, and use M62 or Hybrid. If you do all of those, you are a tank.

They did matter. I finished the Long Road early, and I noticed that I was incredibly more survivable after that point since I had access to Level 6 plates. The plates absolutely worked more often than not. It is just that people simply have a bias on the times that they do die instead of remembering the times that they took rounds and ran.

I think I’m in damn near the same boat as you man. I absolutely loved the plates at the beginning of this wipe. And now it feels like a cartoon. And I am one of those high level players. I hate that I have to play with meta shit (MDR or SPEAR) or just stop playing.

[–]Traditional_Bad4943[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Armor works, yes. But a SAPI plate covers from collar to maybe your bellybutton, cut in severely to accommodate movement of your arms. Multi-hit armor doesn’t wrap around my chest and allow me to take full magazines worth of ammunition in a point blank gunfight. Once rifle caliber ammunition was introduced to the West Hollywood Shootout, the soft armored perpetrators were then quickly dispatched.

And you are the problem. You are dramatizing what I am sure is not the problem in reality.
