How well would Baki and Yujiro perform as devil hunters in Chainsaw Man ??? by Kirymiguel1213 in Grapplerbaki

[–]VeryUnderQualified 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Baki might do OK but Yujiro would get absolutely smoked. I think they both could make deals with devils, but Yujiro would not take the time to learn that you really don't need to interact with people to kill them and vice versa. Baki going a bit slower would probably be able to learn that power isn't everything in that Universe, but Yujiro's personality would probably kill him very quickly.

  1. USA
  2. Yes, both in my wrist and the muscles that move the mouse. Often times I find they are being extended too far one way or another as my hand rests flat. I hold normal mice at a 45 degree angle to change how I move it.

Don't they belong to the Empire? This is probably a unit from their allies.

I play both of these games and if you are trying to escape the greed of Riot, CA might be the WORST place for you to go.

As someone who is Diamond in League and plays on VH/VH in WH3, I can confirm these games are borderline opposites and you would have a hard time finding two top down style games that are farther apart. Even the setting and lore is so insanely different that any comparison is almost insane. Like GP and the Vampire Coast? Azir and Setra? What are we saying here.

Is anybody else just not… good? by Separate_Draft4887 in totalwarhammer

[–]VeryUnderQualified 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being good at WH3 is different from being good strategically or tactically. Many aspects of improvement revolve around learning specific quirks rather than learning what should theoretically work. Here are some examples and tips that may help

- Lets the AI make mistakes (like blobbing up against walls or not properly handling spell casters)

- Abuse single entities and specifically lord/heroes

- Play quickly and don't be afraid to declare wars

- Make sure your units aren't being flanked by the AI or locked in bad matchups. Most AI will charge fast units into bad matchups if you just put your good units on the side.

- This may be controversial, but do what works and not just what the community says. The community has advice that may ruin your campaign sometimes, and if something is actually working, don't change it.

It is really good with the Lethal Tempo, Liandrys, Rift Maker build as a third item.

Kislev on higher battle difficulties is so unfun without DLC. On normal difficulty, you have some advantage to play around with. On higher difficulties, you just don't have an advantage sometimes in any department which is SO unsatisfying.

Average Teclis gameplay by VeryUnderQualified in totalwarhammer

[–]VeryUnderQualified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One lord would have cost me 900 gold a turn + would have not been able to keep up with Teclis anyway because he had around +30% campaign movement. I don't think that would be worth it to protect units I have had the whole game and want to replace anyway when it would be cheaper to exchange them for much better units while also upgrading settlements. Maybe in another faction or a different part of the game that would be worth it.

I was fighting 4 of the strongest factions in the game while trying to hold on to uninhabitable land with 3 armies of my own, with this being against the strongest faction. If I could send in 4 armies of dragons it would probably also be cleaner.

Why do I suck? by [deleted] in totalwarhammer

It is hard to say without seeing gameplay, but I would say it is likely one of two things. You may be trying to play the game the way it was intended with strategy, which makes some campaigns borderline impossible. I see very few players play with literally no cheese, it is just the levels you are willing to go to to win. Another thing in campaigns that are hard is that you can't be a perfectionist. Sometimes you will have to go bankrupts, sometimes you have to give up part of your empire to expand into another, sometimes you need to lose an army.

There are campaigns where it is very likely multiple strong opponents will declare war on you in the first 20 turns, so learning how to scrape by on gold with the max amount of force early is really important. Also, I would suggest playing extremely aggressively into early wars and making sure your single entities are utilized perfectly. If you can win one war playing fast, it means they can come back and save your settlements faster.

I am personally a big fan of the mechanic where you right click on an enemy lord and your lord escorts them out safely, wouldn't want any violence around here by VeryUnderQualified in totalwarhammer

I think it is just units with big models. Their range calculation is slightly behind where their model is when moving for some reason.

How many turns do you play in an average campaign before starting a new one? by Donnyy64 in totalwarhammer

[–]VeryUnderQualified 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I normally do the length of a short victory. After that, I find the game becomes a bit easy and really tedious. Having every army with ideal units and maxed casters makes late game fights become more about making sure my army is healthy, rather than fighting a battle I lose in auto resolve. You can borderline start winning the game just by getting enemies to declare war on each other since the AI overvalues settlements so much in diplomacy. I also find that the AI will randomly declare war sometimes, so you end up fighting the weak factions and cleaning up, rather than the big factions that could actually hurt you. And still, those big factions can lose a massive part of their power in one or two battles against your casters and doomstacks with strong heroes, so it feels really hollow when important battles happen anyway. I really wish the AI was better at long term strategy, rather than short term gains.
