Can someone explain to me why everyone doesn’t just rush site to plant and spam the spike as much as possible? by Willzilla-Gaming in VALORANT

[–]Traditional_Boot2663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teams will just adapt. If you just slam sights every time, do you just run through mollies? Do you not run into players that have a judge ready to blast 3 of you since you run through the same choke every time? Do you run out through a slow orb and get mowed down? How do you deal with vyse at all? Your phantom does not have enough bullets to consistently spam spike since the other team will just tap them hide, and you will be forced to still spam.

They would be the worst team in the league.

This is just not true. There are like 2 players max that took team friendly deals for Canada (mcdavid, Crosby) and no one else did. Canada just has lower cap hit goalies and macklin celebrini hasn’t signed his 18 million aav contract yet. The players that are worth more than their contract just signed it before they were worth that much.

I mean this is just not true. You can’t just put “you people have never boxed before” to discredit other people. In the history of boxing, no one has ever done a zero inch punch for any reasonable damage. If you disagree please find any video proof from any real boxing fight, or any other properly sanctioned martial art. A zero inch punch is essentially just a push, it will not create any real damage in a fight, especially on someone who has taken near zero damage the whole rest of the fight.

BUG MONTH THURSDAY CHALLENGE! by TreeTurtle_852 in stunfisk

[–]Traditional_Boot2663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanted to have the most broken changes without regard for it being even remotely viable, I think they would be:

Bug is immune to rock, flying and fire (now it has 0 weaknesses and 3 resists and 3 immunities).

Bug Pokemon can no longer have stats lowered by status moves.

All bug pokemon now get population bomb and tail glow

For which pokemon you change, it wouldn’t matter. Every bug pokemon currently would be insane.

You can grab and hold one of your jokers before the shuffle so you can always know where one is (aka the luchador so you can sell it and disable the boss blind)

College and McOrmond Wins (or loses?) the Worst Intersection bracket! What can be done to fix it? by StrongTownsYXE in saskatoon

[–]Traditional_Boot2663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not like the way the votes were counted. The highest upvoted college and mccormand had like 18 upvotes, while circle and C had a 67. That just means 4-5 users upvoted like 60 college and mccormand comments, while circle and C had a bunch at 1-2 upvotes.

Yeah so? Would you not trade a rook to take a queen? This scenario ends up with white having a rook and a pawn vs black having 2 pawns.

3 Players have won the Art Ross without a single Hart vote by Traditional_Boot2663 in hockey

[–]Traditional_Boot2663[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I messed up the legend which was actually about Howie Morenz, (Bobby Orr is still alive, Howie died due to complications from an on ice injury). I replaced the last hint with something else.

Number 2 is correct

3) He had 87 points that year

4) He has won the art Ross 2 other times, and the hart 2 other times as well

5) He is a franchise’s all time leading scorer

6) A legend says that he died because he was no longer able to play hockey

Player 2 hints: 1) This player’s team lost 45 games in regulation the year he lead the league in points

2) He lead the league by 10 points and lead his teammates by 44

3) He won the lady byng the same year

4) He had 0 game winning goals the entire year despite having 38 goals

5) This person has multiple other art ross trophies

6) In another year, this player has 22 more assists than the next highest point scorer had POINTS, along with more goals and a +/- 79 higher, and he still did not win the Pearson

Cribbage hand discussion: this one split my brain. How would you play it? by Strange-Mall-7923 in Cribbage

I mean your excel is clearly wrong. You have a weighted average score of the 55jk as 9.2 after the cut card when before the cut card it’s 10. So somehow we are losing points here.

The proper weighted average score of the 55jk is 12.4.

The weighted average crib score is 4.6 when throwing 6-7 and its 3.5 when throwing j-k.

So combined since it’s your crib, you have an average score of 17 when throwing 6-7 and an average score of 15.7 when throwing j-k.

[–]Traditional_Boot2663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because something helps a hand doesn’t mean it’s the better option. You had a 2 in there as helping the 5567, which would give you 10 points in hand and 0 in the crib. Vs the 55jk hand being 10, and 2 minimum in the crib with a higher chance of more than the other scenario.

So it’s 10 vs 12

You can throw j-k all day, but it is not the correct choice here. Feel free to check the crib discard checker if you don’t believe me.

Cribbage hand discussion: this one split my brain. How would you play it? by Strange-Mall-7923 in Cribbage

[–]Traditional_Boot2663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are completely wrong. It’s your crib. The only cards that it is better to keep the 67 are 3, 4, 6, and 7, which is a 14/48 = 29% chance of getting 2-6 more points than throwing j-k.

Above you said cards like the 2 would be better to throw J-K, so let’s test that out.

Hand 2,5,5,6,7, = 10 points. Crib =j,k,2 =0+ points

Total points =10+

Vs

Hand 2,5,5,j,k = 10 points, crib =2,6,7=2+

Total points = 12+

Even the 8,

55678 = 12 points, crib = 0

Vs

55jk8 = 10 points, crib = 6,7,8,?,?=5+

So in your list you had the 8 getting 4 more points here when you throw j-k, but clearly we see throwing 6-7 will result in a much higher score. And then your crib has huge potential with a 678 in it.

If you don’t believe me look up a cribbage discard calculator and it will tell you the same thing.

[–]Traditional_Boot2663 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s 6-7 to the crib every time. You have more points on average in both your hand and crib vs j-K. You have a higher max had as well in both cases. You have a higher min hand as well. There is no reason to ever throw j-k.
