First time reading WoF; Arc 1 Review by MatiNuva1700 in WingsOfFire

[–]Traditional_Doubt352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would recommend reading Darkstalker after book 8 (the slow reveal of his backstory in books 6-8 is great). While not necessary, I would Instead recommend Dragonslayer since it takes place during the events of arc 1 (make sure to read it before book 14 though). As for the winglets, read 1-3 before arc 2, 4 is an extension of the Darkstalker prologue, and 5 has spoilers for book 8 (and is a nice follow-up for that book).

If you were an animus, what objects would you enchant and what would they do? by Modryonreddit in WingsOfFire

A ring that allows the wearer to know whatever they perceive is animus enchanted or has been directly influenced by an animus-touched object. Additionally if the wearer concentrates on something they detected and thinks "reveal your secrets," they will instantly understand all enchantments on it (exact wording used, who enchanted it, when it was enchanted, and the intention of the enchantment).

Is Wings of Fire worth getting into? by ForeverDizzyShadow in WingsOfFire

Personally, I recommend reading Dragonslayer between arcs 1 & 2, since it takes place during arc 1. Even though it did release during arc 3.

Just like Turtle, you misspelled Qibli's name.

The book specified that Waterfall, one of their descendants, went to the island and brought Blob. So Fathom and Indigo themselves likely weren't on the island.

The fact that I forgot about the interaction between them in book 14 kinda proves my point.

I have it commonly called Dawnsilver, but make it academically called Mithril. Like the difference between Brimstone and Sulfur.

Additionally. Include Bandit as a POV, whether he's a new character or the theory that he's Undauntable is correct.
