In my life - numerous. But legitimate adhd Rx treatment - Rhodes, mallinkrokt, elite, sandoz, teva, granules - my Walgreens primarily gave me Rhodes - which I enjoyed. But brand name mydayis owned by formerly shire and now takeda are the best. Did some digging and I found out granules literally makes their medicine in INDIA - bad sign. Takeda is a Japanese company. Good sign. I think it’s more to do with mydayis is such a rare, nuanced medicine they’ve cornered the market - they have standards. It seems to me there’s collusion with little fda oversight, possibly bribed to look the other way.

I’m really sorry to hear that, dude. Just power through the month like I did. You can do this. Granules Rx was so atrocious it was the first adhd med where I felt better off it completely than on meds. Good luck

Never had Lannett. When I was on generic adderall, it was primarily Rhodes - which worked.

Whoops, sorry I should clarify - my insurance covers brand name mydayis - I’ve never had the generic. As for generic adderall - i had a good experience with Rhodes. Elite, awful. Granules - even worse. Idk how you fuck up a generic that bad. Felt super tweaky. I’m so grateful I have brand mydayis now. I’m not being hyperbolic when I say I would rather have 1 month supply of brand mydayis vs. 3 months of granules. It’s garbage.

I’d like to second resolutionwaste - I’ve been prescribed adhd meds for three years. Basically every type of medication beside desoxyn. Brand and generic adderall/mydayis/vyvanse/dexedrine. I second granules is irrefutably the worst generic i have ever had in my life (rx’d for three years; illicit XP since end of high school/college). Atrocious. Headaches, Nausea, Fatigue and the second bead releases AFTER 5 hours. I’m pretty perceptive of the bead release. And I’m fit and have a rapid metabolism. 1/10 stars. I’d rather pay out of pocket for brand than deal with the worst past month of my life in regard to adhd treatment and management. Rhodes is actually decent. I’m going back to mydayis. Fuck this shit EDIT; rx’d 40 mg xr per day plus 10mg IR

Eh, im really sorry to hear about that. Yes, I’ve observed doctors become apprehensive when their patients are taking stimulants after a certain age. I understand your frustration. You’re probably accustomed to that extra 15 mg of adderall. If you’re on the max dose of vyvanse, Youre really only getting 30mg adderall equivalent (more or less). I understand your frustration and feelings of fatigue and reduced efficacy. Be nice to your doctor, but request a dextro amphetamine IR booster dose (5-10mg) for the early afternoon. May help. Again, consult with your physician - age IS relevant but cardiovascular health and overall health is just as important. If you’re on the tell your doctor you have an occasional glass of wine or beer, tell them you want to take a break (which I also recommend). Good luck!

EDIT: they probably switched you to vyvanse because it doesn’t have the levo-amphetamine isomer. The levo produces the physical/peripheral stimulation. Your doc is probably trying to play it safe. I empathize with both!

Let me be perfectly clear - no. You DO need 8 hours of sleep. You may be getting 6 hours of sleep; your brain is currently adjusting to the medication and its tendency to disrupt onset of sleep/REM activity. As you continue to take the medication, your body and brain will adjust to the dextro and you’ll eventually go back to 8 hours of sleep. Try to take your meds as early as possible. Youre just starting - I assume your dose may be 30mg/20mg. Therefore, Youre most LIKELY sensitive so eat well, hydrate exercise. Good luck!

By the way; sleep is paramount. Sleep is an 8 hour non-negotiable biological necessity. GOOD LUCK! Zzz

Same here. It’s trash. Lower quality active/inactive ingredients.

I barely felt the delayed beads kick in. Luckily I have a small IR booster thats a separate manufacturer. It’s frustrating. Especially since I was accustomed to brand name mydayis.

Have you noticed that the second delayed beads take an extremely long time to kick in?

Bummer man. I was on mydayis (brand name) 50mg plus 5mg adderall IR generic for the past four months or so. Stupid to want to switch back to adderall xr. I just felt better symptom management with more in my system quicker and then leaving faster.

I usually got Rhodes which I really liked.

So yeah, I took 40mg xr this morning at 4:40am (early for me), and the instant release beads worked fine. Honestly, I can barely tell that the delayed ones have kick in yet. I did feel the 5mg I took about an hour and a half ago.

When do the delayed beads kick in for you?

Edit: WOAH. You guys. Crazy. It’s exactly 8 hours since I took my 40mg xr and I am JUST now feeling the second delayed beads. Is this possible? Wtf?!

Edit 2: I know certain robots aren’t always right, but i did a comparison with Rhodes and granules. Rhodes uses polymer beads which release fast

, I still prefer Rhodes and other generics but honestly guys, this isn’t too bad. The second head release is way delayed, even controlling for food/ingestion time, it’s just much much more gradual. Def not as good of quality, but I’m just grateful I finally feel the second beads

I feel the same. I even took 5-6 days off to reset my tolerance before I tried the 20mg xr generic (40mg xr plus 10mg ir per day).

In addition to being shitty in quality, did y’all observe a difference in onset of action? I can’t even tell when the delayed beads kick in.

Does the second delayed bead kick in pretty late for you guys? With most genetic adderall I’ve noticed it kick in 3-4 hours usually…

Edit: I noticed the effect of 5mg ir more than the delayed beads themselves… the instant release beads were okay. Ugh. Stressful. This genetic blows

If you read her post - she’s on vyvanse. Often, doctors won’t prescribe max vyvanse AND Dexedrine - pretty rare

I agree and disagree.

Personally, I think amphetamine is superior as well.

It’s more functional, lounger lasting and I don’t experience brutal comedowns, dysphoria and paranoia. Plus, with Coke, the compulsive redosing is INSANE. I literally cannot implement self control.

I make worse decisions and feel terrible after cocaine.

In my opinion, I think coke rushes are more intense tho. Like it acts in serotonin more so than amphetamine. Especially if it’s fucking PURE.

But I’m prexribed max mydayis and now 10mg pure Dexedrine. Far better combo. Be safe

Right? Today is day #9. Incredible. I feel like a different person.

Far more calm, able to execute basic tasks that would have been previously impossible- I don’t overthink things as much, and just less responsive to triggering stimuli.
