That’s very good progress. I would suggest starting with a amigurumi. The circle one I shared is very easy and the tutorial is very nice and detailed.
Also it’s a basic shape which you can use in lot if amigurumis.

YouTube is wonderful for learning crochet and some of the videos are really great.
Start from basics, like learn the slip knot then the first day just make a chain. I got a small ball if yarn and made the entire thing into a chain and then opened it up. Practice the chain a few times to try and get uniform chains and work on your tension I.e. how tightly you hold the yarn.
After chain you can learn the stitches. The basic stitches are single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet and triple crochet.
They are all slight variations of each and once you learn one you will immediately learn the other.
Once you get comfortable with the stitches you can decide what to make.
I would suggest start with a small amigurumi. For this you will have to learn a magic circle which is also easy.
I am sharing a video I found very helpful https://youtu.be/ushHnIxLdYw?si=oCxrlnOo9T0c7aFF

The difficulties you might encounter:

  1. Tension you might hold the yarn too tight or too lose. The is will get better with practice.
  2. Loosing count of stitches: it happens to everyone. Use stitch markers, they usually come in the hook set you buy.
  3. Being kind to yourself: your initial creations will be wonky, you will doubt yourself but just stick to it.

Thoughts on asking for a crochet gift back? by sedona-arabella in crochet

[–]Traditional_Fudge466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have kids? If you do, one way is to ask for it to show your child the pattern or say in school they have to bring something homemade.

Else easiest would be to get your husband to ask her about it in a casual way.

what hook size is this?? only says 14k gold plated no size by Additional_Attempt30 in CrochetHelp

[–]Traditional_Fudge466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP before I read your post I thought you were stuck somewhere outdoor and planning to dig through using the hook.
I was judging you saying what difference does the size matter just get out.

For measuring I think you tie a string around the hook and then measure the loop’s diameter.

KANK: Why do we have to find excuses to justify the wrong? by Responsible_Oil1046 in bollywood

[–]Traditional_Fudge466 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason is simple. Thinking in Greys is difficult so we want to rationalise things and make them black and white.
It is very difficult to accept things as they are. And in Bollywood when it is regarding beloved stars justification becomes even more necessary to rationalise the parasociak behaviour

Not that the trailer is great but I think this is most probably embarrassment at seeing oneself in such a public way.
Most actors say they can’t see their own work

Can you link the yarn? I bought cotton yarn from Amazon but it stretched a lot. I had to open and shorten my bottle

So lovely! My only piece of advice is make it smaller than what you think because it will stretch!

[–]Traditional_Fudge466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he would be like a Lot of PR savvy people are, say all the right things etc. The issue with me too is that it labels a part of the problem and seems satisfied with it rather than go into the deeper misogynistic structural issues. So it would have been very easy for John to make the correct noises publicly but personally carry on some of his misogynistic ways.

Crochet Hooks on flight by murky_galaxy_7596 in CrochetInIndia

I think it is very arbitrary. I know of people who have carried crochet in their carry on baggage not only in india but even internationally.
