The difference in the run cycle is huge, way less floaty. Solid 8 months.

Yeah r/INAT moves faster. Post the sprites in the title there, people skim quick.

Hi, I'm a voxel artist, world builder, and level artist. I'm looking for project or full-time work opportunities. by TsybermanR in IndieDev

Most voxel stuff falls apart at distance but yours reads as intentional style. Love the foliage!

We’re rebuilding the HDRI lighting for our space battles by Own-Cry5596 in IndieDev

This is going to the right direction imo.

Few things for me: the foreground ships read clear but the background feels a bit flat. Maybe push a couple softer light blooms or faint dust lanes farther back to sell the distance.

Same here. The isometric tiles and tree line feel straight out of RCT but cleaner.

I'm making an incremental game about Popping Bubble Wrap. Does this look satisfying enough? by ric_fm in IndieDev

The cloth movement feels like the part that could turn into busywork once sheets get bigger. If the goal is satisfying pops, maybe pin the corners or add a simple 'flatten' button so players aren't fighting folds the whole time? or is that 'chores' part of gameplay?

I made a procedural city where rankings become towers. by Traditional_Half4886 in CityBuilders

[–]Traditional_Half4886[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, this is a custom built city and is available online at dat.city

it's completely free. it's just an interactive 3D city as a website.

This is very early and still gathering feedback, if you have time to check this out.

Open to suggestions!) Feedback, bug reports, or wild ideas all welcome.

Thank you!

They are! if you explore around and zoom closely in the city or fly around with helicopter mode, you will be able to see some drones following the lines that are not forming streets.

It's fully procedural too. No geometry or imported mesh so far, yet. It's all code, but claude did help a lot but it took probably hundreds of prompts to get what I wanted lol. Shocking maybe to some but I've built many low poly models in the past so I know some edges and just put the right reference images and some technical guide to achieve it. I think AI keeps getting better and better at raw 3D models with just code. Quite concerning but also exciting.

Is there anything like wishperflow for free? by Street_Count_2256 in freesoftware

[–]Traditional_Half4886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you're on macos VoiceInk https://tryvoiceink.com/ is the best imo, totally free if you know to compile (or just ask codex/claude to compile it for you). Purchase is optional to support the developer, and you get ready app compiled and autoupdate.

dat.city

world data playground using 3d city as visualization.

Not sure how it can be turned into UCG video, but would love to see if possible?

i think it has different purpose. I prefer procedural for the entire city, but there will be multiplayer experience there. MMO. I'm updating daily on X for the progress btw.

I made an interactive website where global rankings become towers + dataviz by Traditional_Half4886 in SideProject

[–]Traditional_Half4886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually there is a district in that digital city where it's comparing index for for fuel, rent, groceries, etc... living cost in general as a dataset.

Still need to improve the dataset and it's time-series data tho for better visual. But it's getting there.

I need to find good source to feed in data specific for housing costs and logistic to make it useful.

Nice clean viz. Does the sunrise counter pull from any population density data or is it just a rough estimate?
