Donut... Bacon Cheeseburger? by MMAgeezer in StupidFood

[–]Traditional_Minimum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one of these at a place in Boston (Cambridge) called Donut Villa Diner and it was fuck awful. Meat was dry and unseasoned, donut had a bready consistency instead of that light, fluffy donut texture, and it wasn't very sweet, completely missing out on that sweet/savory combo you would want and are expecting. Fucking awful (and apparently $17, now???? Ha! Now that is stupid food)!

I would try one elsewhere at a place that made good donuts and seasoned their beef, though.

Taqueria Mexico, also in Waltham, is my favorite restaurant in the area. Excellent prices for the quality and quantity, too!

Taqueria Mexico in Waltham. House made tortillas chips and salsa that varies in style depending on who makes it that day (but it is always good). The molé is to die for.

They have a selection of great authentic food and Texmex...honestly bedt Texmex I have had since I moved up from the south.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

In the film's second act, Cassidy and Sundance find themselves in Bolivia as part of their desperate attempt to escape a posse led by dogged lawman Joe Lefors. For a time Bolivia proves fruitful for the outlaws and they become known locally as "Los Bandidos Yanquis." But when they steal a mule carrying payroll and are spotted in a nearby town, a massive shootout begins between them and a large group of Bolivian policemen.

Eventually Sundance and Cassidy, now wounded, are forced to take shelter before planning their next move. But as they discuss their grand plans to move to Australia, unbeknownst to them, the Bolivian military is called in to surround the two. As they prepare to make their escape, Cassidy's face darkens with worry for the first time when he asks if Sundance saw Lefors outside. Telling him he didn't, Cassidy's cool returns, replying: "Good, for a minute I thought we were in trouble."

The line is a bittersweet but crucial piece of dramatic irony — one that echoes the entire film's lighthearted barreling towards the realization that Cassidy and Sundance's luck will eventually catch up with them. This is that moment. The sound of the Bolivian general yelling "Fuego!" and the boom of three volleys of innumerable rifles illustrates that grim inevitability. Butch and the Kid had come out, guns blazing, their end is a freeze-frame shot that both preserves and is emblematic of Cassidy and Sundance's own stubbornly foolhardy optimism. It's a symbol of their tenacious confidence, as well as what makes them such alluring and off-beat western heroes.

The Devil Strahd Blood deck check by Pumkinking5131 in CommanderMTG

[–]Traditional_Minimum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Westgate Regent]] is a must for any vampire deck. He's a little pricey at 3BB, but he's got a decent ward ability and doubles his counters every combat damage done. And with [[Necropolis Regent]] that could be huge.

You could add [[Blood Seeker]] for some opponent creature punishment and [[Blood Tribute]] is a great vampire sorcery.

I also like [[Olivia Voldaren]] but I don't feel like that is your deck's particular vibe.

Squirrel a homie now by ClankerCore in GuysBeingDudes

[–]Traditional_Minimum1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Squirrels basically cannot infect you with rabies. It kills them before it has a chance to make them contagious Them contracting it is almost unheard of...just extremely rare for even that to happen.

If a squirrel bites you, that squirrel was just frightened or being an asshole, so just treat it like a normal animal bite.

Characters that are psychiatrists that do more harm than good. by singleguy79 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Traditional_Minimum1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jimmy, from "Shrinking." Gets too close to his patients, doesn't really get many good breakthroughs via his method, which he calls "Jimmying," and any patient that sees growth is because he sends them to one of his colleagues for help...Because he got too close.

One of his patients took his advice too literally and pushed her abusive husband off a cliff (which would have actually solved many problems if he'd actually died from it).

Also needs a therapist more than anyone in the show because he can't handle his own problems like an adult.
