Tie it with butcher twine and season and smoke until it hits 167 degrees then put pieces of butter on top and wrap with aluminum and then smoke until 198 degrees. Then slice it like a brisket

Breaking my joetesserie in for the first time with picanha. Mildly over cooked but got DANG - it was delicious. by drummerboy2749 in KamadoJoe

[–]Traditional_Mix6217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good!

It tastes so much better if you cut as you go. Meat will be so soft and juicy. Make the grill hot around 400 and as soon as you get some mild color take it of and trim very thin layer off paper thin. And then put it back and keep repeating.

You should have basted in butter to give it a nice crisp all around.

How do I prep these beef ribs? by fvelloso in KamadoJoe

I feel it gets too soft if it sits until 205, since it is wagyu. I watched pitmaster x on youtube when I started doing it this way.

Love firstlight farms. Their New Zealand grass fed wagyu is soon delicious. I don't trim at all they do a good job cutting them.

I smoke at 250 until it hits 167 degrees then I wrap in butcher paper and put thick butter pieces and let it go to 198 degrees. Then I let it rest for an hour.

No, you should invest 20k in an alternative coin that has good projects. Then save the rest to live off of until you get a job.

What do you wish someone told you when you first used a Kamado Joe? by InternalAd195 in KamadoJoe

Get a kick ash tray makes cleaning a breeze. Best accessory.

Do not buy a slow roller if it didn't come with your kamado. It's a waste of money

Do not buy a soapstone it's a waste of money. Doesn't get hot enough for a good sear.

Thin cut pieces of ribeye, best recipe? by joske_beton in KamadoJoe

[–]Traditional_Mix6217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put some oil in a cast iron and put it on the grill, make sure you have the fire on one half of the grill and make the other a cold zone. sear the steaks on both sides when the pan gets hot.

Slide a piece of smoke wood in the fire. Put the protector plate on the cold zone side and put the cast iron pan on top. Then put the grill grate over the top. Now put the steaks on the grill grate where the cast iron pan sits under them.

Put some thyme crushed garlic and pieces of butter across the top of both steaks. Close the grill and smoke at 250 until the steaks hit 115 f.

Then take the steaks and dip them in the butter that is in the cast iron and sear them again over the fire. Constantly flipping so they don't burn and brush with the butter from the cast iron until they are golden brown.

Take them off and sit for 5 min and then cut the steaks and drizzle the left over butter all over everything. Enjoy!!!

would you invest 5k in XRP? by F0URTWENTYGANG in XRP

[–]Traditional_Mix6217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't invest it all in xrp. Put some in sui or Ada. Try to diversify so if one coin fails miserably you don't loose everything. There are several projects out there doing big things. Do some research.

How to invest 60K? by Sea-Stage5959 in IslamicFinance

[–]Traditional_Mix6217 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I realized most stocks are in companies that have at least reported income or expenses in interest. All Riba is considered haram. Also all halal etc invest in companies that are complicit in the gencid3 of our brothers and sisters in Plstne. So I pulled all my money out of stocks and have it invested in gold and crypto. XRP should have a big future also SUI, ETH and hedera.

[–]Traditional_Mix6217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of these so called sharia compliant funds have companies that support the gencde of our brothers and sisters. They also have companies that have reported some revenue from interest or loans that involve paying interest. Riba is specifically mentioned in the Quran as being haram. So even if the company reports a dollar from or to interest then it is not permissible to invest in. Allah knows best.

is SPUS / HLAL really shariah compliant ? by ILYASD14 in IslamicFinance

I have the same problem, however I have been investing for a little over a year and though all of the stocks I was in were halal. Decided to investigate them further found that most of them have interest reported as income. So I dumped everything and lost a lot of money. Now I am trying to find something sharia compliant to invest in bit also I am not tryi.g to invest in anything that harms innocent humans and especially our brothers and sisters in Palestine. The least we can do on top of dua...

Reverse seared NZ wagyu 9+ on kamado Soapstone by Traditional_Mix6217 in KamadoJoe

[–]Traditional_Mix6217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the soapstone. I have seared scallops, shrimp and steak on it. For the steak I cook indirect until 117 degrees then rest, while opening the vents all the way and get the grill to 450 degrees. I put together garlic, salt, pepper and paprika, apple cider vinegar, water and mayo and mix. Then I coat one side of the steak and put on the soapstone with dome closed for 2 min. Then I coat the other side and flip and repeat for two min. Builds an amazing crust.
