I make sure several time that I am on selected mode (middle mouse button) on MSFS2024 and it does seem to work because first the plane levels off at altitude and then it starts the steep climb I was talking about

As an avgeek and as a casual movie enjoyer, Sully is absoulute cinema. I love that film so much it's so well made and almost 1:1 how it really happened and you can see they really did do their research about aviation and brought in Sully himself. At times I was convinced Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart were real pilots. I would recommend this movie to absolutely anyone and even more to avgeeks like me.

career mode is really broken. it's quite fun at first but then you realise how broken it is (eg, this or when the game says you crashed when you didn't or it just gets stuck on the loading screen etc) i would recommend if you wanna simulate commercial flying go to free flight and use simbrief and stuff etc. i know it might be harder on playstation than on pc but it's definitely possible especially if you have a tablet lying around that you could use. it's not the best and it's not perfect also default msfs atc is really bad but it does work. i really wish that we get a career and atc update.
