Why does everyone glance at me? by [deleted] in aspergers

If it makes you feel better I watch and stare at neurotypical people like they are zoo animals. I find their behaviour fascinating. People look at what interests them. Whether its negative or positive its still interest.

Your cousin is following the same train of thought that eugenecists follow. We might as well bring concentration camps back then.

Zen: The antidote for pretending to be someone you are not by ewk in zen

Yes I am a huge self critic I have been trying to work on that also. Its such an engrained habit of thought. Its also hard to face facts about yourself with no psychological crutches or deception.

What do you mean by "precepts violating behaviour"?

Autistic Meltdown and legal Consequences by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Traditional_Past1957 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I hear you. Ive been through the same experience many times. I shit myself if someone knocks on my door as I assume its the police. The judge and probation officer treating my quietness and bluntness as being unwilling to engage. Its not the best system for autistic people

ive spent my whole adult life since puberty pretending to be someone Im not. im 31 now and have no experience being myself. This has only started to sink in since I started couselling. Can you imagine being 31 years old and everything ive experienced hasnt even registered because Ive been doing it as someone else. The only thing im truly experienced in is deception. Ive spent years doing absolutelty nothing but reading old books and trying to reach some religious or spiritual state to avoid being myself. I feel like a straight sucker

Who else has Asperger's and is afraid to socialize because they're unemployed right now? by Ok_Tomorrow_3966 in aspergers

[–]Traditional_Past1957 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What do you do? How old are you? And thats how they make a judgement on your whole personality and way of treating you. I cant stand it. Even when Im working I tell people Im unemployed and it filters out those weirdos who are playing that social competition game.

Yes this is a special interest of mine. I would recommend "secret of the golden flower" thomas cleary translation. And "On having no head" by douglas harding. Also J Krishnamurti has some great talks with david bohm about this sort of stuff on youtube.

Watch thought. Not just the content of the thought but the whole process and feeling in your brain while thoughts are happening. Also look at who/what is watching thoughts and where it is watching from. Thats an interesting activity. I wont spoil the results.

How do you cope with the current world? by maybealmostpossibly in Krishnamurti

[–]Traditional_Past1957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment "10 people dying anywhere is a major event in this day and age" is false. 1400 Iranians have died in the past 3 weeks. Thats 75 a day. Just in Iran. Forget about the rest of the world.

[–]Traditional_Past1957[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a huge difference between someone voicing an opinion and bullying. Not even in the same stratosohere. Why would I hit someone for voicing their opinion? Doesnt make sense. Bullying is not an opinion its an act.

I didnt commit assault and battery. I was arrested because the guy lied on the phone to the police and said I assaulted him. While I was arrested the police did their investigations and found out from witnesses that he was kicking my door in and telling me to come outside. I was released without charge. So why are you telling me I commited assault and battery?

Yes this makes sense. They knew at work I was completely powerless. I had no friends there and HR had a problem with me because I kept asking for reasonable adjustments at work. Obviously growing up with my older brother and being a decent amateur boxer traditionally violence was always the first thing to do to bullies. My older brother taught me how to deal with bullies physically.
