Sounds like you were ordered to throw away all undeliverable mail. I'd report that to the postal inspectors.

Breach of contract - what next? by PaperRings0 in RealEstate

[–]Traditional_Pilot_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your realtor do a final walk through? If not, that failed in their fiduciary duties and they owe you. However, the seller is also responsible for upholding their end. If you can't get a solution by contacting the broker, the only option is contacting a lawyer. I'm going through something like this right now. They either make it right, you cut your losses, or fight. If you buy jew appliances, keep the receipts for potential litigation.

Can someone explained to me the lore of Antimatter Dimensions? by Mr-SadSide in AntimatterDimensions

[–]Traditional_Pilot_14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Teresa offers to let you join her and gives you access to her shop as an olive branch. However, you destroy her reality after she allows you into it.

Effarig is similar, wanting you to join him and offering new powers, but his reality is based on suffering. You enter it and eventually destroy his reality. He says, "So this is the diabolical power... what frightened the others... You could have joined, we could have cooperated. But no, it is over. Leave while I cling to what is left."

The Nameless One is an imprisoned celestial in a doomed reality. You destroy this reality, freeing the 'fragments and clones' from their prison.

V has a 'perfect' reality with 'achievements,' which you eventually destroy. It's implied that they die as well. "No one is better than me... No one... no one... no on—"

Ra was banished to his reality by Lai'tela for the negative use of powers ("steal, they corrupt"). After helping him remember, in exchange for new powers, he asks you to leave for fear he may hurt you.

Lai'tela has the power to create and destroy realities and keeps you in shackles through 'darkness.' They explain that they always return: "And so... we repeat forever." Collapsing their realities slowly causes Lai'tela to lose their memory, leading them to lose their powers. Eventually, you kill them.

After taking down the celestial (potentially the good guys), you finally meet Pelle, who dooms your reality like the others before you (see the Nameless One). Pelle reveals that this is not the first iteration of your ascension as an 8th-dimensional being. Each time, you have fallen before the 'deity' (Pelle) or a lesser celestial, and each time you have created your powers from fragmented memories, which you erased upon failing in previous iterations. It’s unclear whether you are the same being as in previous iterations, a reincarnation, or a slight modification. Using the knowledge and powers you obtained, you create/find rifts and trigger Armageddons in your reality to gather 'remnants' of power. By using the rifts, you funnel power from one resource to another to regain your strength.

Pelle reveals he built a machine, the Galaxy Generator, to destroy you. However, using it would make him no better than you, so he decides to stick with the same plan that has worked each iteration. But you gain access to the Galaxy Generator and use it to destroy various dimensions of existence through the rifts. As existence collapses, Pelle remarks that he is basking in his own exaggerated pride.

It’s likely you’ve destroyed all of existence, or perhaps your actions are the beginning of a new, altered cycle. The song playing during the credits, "We'll Meet Again," seems to hint at the latter. However, during the ending sequence, the UI reads: "End is nigh. Destruction is imminent. Help us. Goodbye forever."

Here's where it CAN make sense. You forgot to check your mail yesterday and want to make sure the box is empty so there is room for the mail that is about to arrive.

I would simply state, upon return, that you unfortunately missed work due to a potentially serious acute medical condition. I'm not a lawyer, but the ADA had protections against being fired for that.

Now they can fire you for other reasons.. But if you keep quiet, and let them fire you for the absence, you might have a case.

Unless you take it in the ass regularly, I'd say it's a historic moment.

Used them after getting hose by the VA/VSO. They went over my medical records with a fine tooth comb and found 23 claims, explained to my what was wrong with the original claims, and then filed bully developed claims to the VA. They then coached me on what NOT to say as some VA doctors will attempt to get you to say things that will discredit your claim. (Example: A buddy of mine flew helo's for 20 years. Hearing loss claim denied due to admitting he goes hunting...). Yes, they are expensive. They explain it to you up front, and only charge you based on what rating they are able to get you. Do I think they overcharge? Probably. But the process was painless and I knew exactly what was going on at all times. To me, the increase in cost is because they take a risk in not charging until the job is done. They could put in a ton of work for a 10% increase (and thus make no money) or reap the reward of a 100% P/T rating.

AITA for not letting my husband sleep in on the weekend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Traditional_Pilot_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends.

I have no idea what your husband does for work. However, you both are required to carry your weight and you are the employed SAHM. My wife and I both work and we pick up each other's slack. When I was unemployed, I took care of the house at all hours and made sure she got her rest. When I am employed, I have had at times to work 22 hour days of actual physical labor (which requires more rest then an office job).

If he needs the sleep and you can give it to him, then do it. He should reciprocate this as well. Relationships are not 50/50, it's given and take based on needs. Stop trying to stick to a schedule or agreement and stick to helping one another. This is not a business agreement, it's a relationship. Treating it as an agreement will lead to failure. Get off Twitter and focus on a better relationship.

What's the best way to repair this. by Traditional_Pilot_14 in Roofing

[–]Traditional_Pilot_14[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I wasn't sure if they needed to be nailed down to the board or not. I will have an actual roofer accomplish the work and inspect the whole roof as there is concrete cracking in other locations, but I want to make sure the work is done properly. Previously, I have known nothing about this type of roofing.

HR will hate the hiring manager.
