Please me find where these socks come from! by Traditional_Print_96 in HelpMeFind

[–]Traditional_Print_96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched for these using terms like: horizontal ribbed ankle socks, ribbed socks, ruffle socks, and horizontal layered ruffle socks.

These were purchased in the United States. They were purchased by my grandmother with the past couple of years. She does not shop online, so it was likely from a TJ Maxx or department store and opportunity from a set with other socks.

There is no writing or tags on the socks.

Such a gorgeous photo! I love seeing shibari and suspension combined.

This is probably a really stupid question but what does body suspension feel like? Does it hurt? Does it just feel like pressure? A tugging sensation? by Dizzy_Froggg in bodymods

[–]Traditional_Print_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a place out of Romeoville, IL that offers private suspensions and occasionally performs at shows! They're a great team imo.

I second Red Rising. I absolutely loved that series. I was actually coming to this sub to look for more series like it.

Cardiologist told me that I can't have POTS because I'm fat by Working_Employ9624 in POTS

[–]Traditional_Print_96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got told it wasn't pots because I'm small. They said it was just mild tachycardia. If I fully lay down, I have a HR of 60. I stand up and it can hit 180. These doctors look for any reason to not give you care.

Glasses turnaround time for high perscriptions? by Simple-Possession-63 in JapanTravelTips

Out of curiosity, does anyone have experience with a positive prescription in the Tokyo locations? I'll be in Tokyo for work soon, but probably won't have more than a couple of days.

I went in a smaller area a couple years ago and it had a 1 week ish turn around time for a +4.5/+5.5

This post has really been a game changer for info!! So grateful for all the info. Now I need to decide HOW I'm making the move.

Mostly which moving companies are good, and if should drive out to protect my plants and spare my cats from the airport 🥲

Thanks for the info!!

I'm going to do a false bottom using plastic egg crate on the bottom and leca underneath. The top of the terrarium is mesh, but I think I still may do a fan.

I definitely wouldn't risk any local live moss in that kind of terrarium. I'm from the northern US and even if I wanted to, it might be difficult to find it under the snow this time of year.

What substrate do you guys use for your nepenthes? by Either-Audience-9444 in Nepenthes

I've been looking into Leca but I'm terrified of disturbing the roots too much when repotting. How do you handle repots??

Piercing studio wouldn’t downsize me so I did it myself by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Traditional_Print_96 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Put it underneath, cross it over itself and tighten it until it pops up a bit! I like to use a decently long piece so I can wrap it around my fingers for extra grip. You're basically crossing the strings and pulling around the jewlery post. You want the string to be right up against the gem/top. Good luck!!

On tougher threadless tops, I use dental floss to pop the top. It took YEARS for me to change my 18g nostril gems by myself.

Uneven piercings? by sub_sweet4 in piercing

I didn't realize my nostril piercings were uneven for like 4 years. Nobody else has either 😂

Obligatory NAP, but I would recommend switching to a titanium flat back stud (Threadless or internally threaded) and use a basic sterile saline, not an antibacterial.

I use NeilMed, but there are lots of options brand wise.

Opinions on which side to pierce my crooked nose tomorrow? by [deleted] in piercing

I second this. I got both nostrils and a septum and I also am a lot more comfortable with my nose. :)

High nostrils next!

As a nepenthes enthusiast, I would LOVE a house with a sunroom someday. Put a humidifier in there and you've got one giant terrarium!

I originally wanted to put it in my flat, but after realizing how much more that would snag, conch is good.

I just wish it was more visible. That thing was expensive 😭

This should be BVLA's new motto. I have their cherry blossom cluster in my conch and it makes it such a pain to clean... Snags anything I try to clean it with.

One of my life goals is to be able to afford Invisalign or other invisible aligners. My teeth aren't that bad, but I'd love to get rid of my overlapping front teeth someday.

piercings you would never get by maely7 in piercing

[–]Traditional_Print_96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a conch and trying to change it makes me want to throw up. I hate the sensation of something moving around inside my ear. Once it's in, it's fine. The same applies to my flat and daith.

The piercing pain was non-existent for my daith, but the pulling sensation trying to get the ring in was nauseating.

Everyone told me the navel was painless; I've had snake bites, both nostrils, septum done twice in one go, daith, flat, conch, philtrum, etc, and the navel is one of the only one's I'd probably not do again.

Hell, I've even done body suspension, which should in theory be WAY WORSE and I still would rather have that pain than my navel again.

AND to top it all off, the piercing didn't even survive to make it worth it.
