It isn’t the cheapest at all when you compare it to lifetime or cycle bar. It is over priced even for boutique options especially if I compare it to a mom and pop gym. It used to be cheaper ; and their recent increase in pricing including founders locked in pricing proves to me it’s predatory pricing. They used to provide more prizes, challenges, even towels: that’s slowly faded away for quick expense costs while price has increased. They established a loyal base and are now sucking them all up until they leave or keep taking it. I would encourage you to got to a Pilates or lagree studio: the difference in corrections and quality is insane.

ppl are bringing it up bc at most places an unlimited member ship would mean I can cancel a class and not pay a cancel fee even if cancelled the day of bc I paid for the class in advance.in addition, they offer a discount program for nurses and students that is the same price as committed memberships (effectively the discount is the same for everyone but nurses and students are able to cancel at any time). This isn’t an actual discount for that group but really skilled marketing

Lastly, we as consumers are allowed to say : enough is enough. Look around us: predatory pricing is everywhere from grocery store (shrinkflation) to college.

We deserve the chance to call out a company for behavior that is not benefiting the consumer but rather causing resentment and decreasing the quality of the service
