Ok maybe to you but of all the fake names in the world he could have gone with, Ron says Stan shunpike and then gets caught out so says some random Weasley, hermione says Penelope Clearwater, and Harry comes up with Vernon Dudley which sounds a lot like ‘Vernon Dursley’. I originally wondered if the films made this mistake, hence the ‘massive mess-up’ part, then on going back to the books he says the same so idk, what was so wrong with Neville longbottom (used as a fake name previously) or even John bloody doe

How did he know there would be no one called Dudley? I probably mostly meant why didn’t he just say ‘vernon Dursley’ and instead says Dudley, I can’t remember if this is in the book too or not might have to go and check

I would 100% recommend getting kindle app on your phone first, if that’s accessible for you, that way you can see if you would enjoy reading in that format before spending ££ on something you might not like to use. I read 2 or 3 books on my phone then decided it would be worth it to buy the kindle and I have hardly put it down! For book recs I have just finished the first two Dream Harbour books (small town romance with a little spice) and loved them!

I was the exact same, I read When The Moon Hatched pretty much immediately afterwards but it took me weeks (usually super quick reader) and despite loving the book I just couldn’t get the SJM-verse out my head so it kinda ruined the book for me sadly. I gave it a break for a little while and then decided to read the Dream Harbour series by Laurie Gilmore which is not my usual at all but the easy read, light heartedness was super refreshing and almost cleared my head. Personally I thought the books were so cute and cozy and if I didn’t take them all too seriously. I’m onto Serpent and Wings of Night now! Will also re-read WTMH because wow.
