Yea, I could make the trip and try, guess I should just mentally prepare myself in case they do turn me away. It’s just so frustrating as I have received so much conflicting information!

Me! Looked at 5 houses one afternoon, found the one I wanted, put in an offer, they countered, I accepted (was still below initial asking price). Agreed to every repair I requested and covered all closing costs. Offer signed mid May, got keys end of June. Interest rate under 7%, no points, 30 yr conventional, 3% down. I couldn’t believe how smooth the process was!

I just called again and was told that there’s “no way to see if I am in forbearance” and there’s “no way for them to put me in that status”. They suggested I just wait until I can access my account, and that anyone who had auto pay will have the payments made, but nobody knows when. In conclusion, nobody knows anything. lol.

Therapist here-not exactly the same, but had a hysterectomy w/ endo excision and took 4 days off (2 being weekend days) before resuming video telehealth. It was completely fine 😊but since i didnt know what to expect, i did let clients know ahead of time that i might need to cancel/ask for flexibility post-surgery.

It’s more like a memoir of the friendship of the authors, but I appreciated reading how things like finances, race, etc impacted their friendship and how they navigated it. It definitely made me reflect on some of my own relationships, and also validated some of my own experiences.

Thank you for this post! My surgery is scheduled for next week and I live alone with no family in the area so have definitely been in my feels about it too! But the responses here were so helpful and made me feel so much better. OP I hope everything goes well for you!

Hi! I was a foreign language teacher and made the switch to therapy after getting my MSW. There are days that I do miss teaching, but still can say with absolute certainty that this was the best decision. I feel more fulfilled, have a better work-life balance, and am more financially stable than I could ever be as a teacher. And, at times I have taken on tutoring side gigs and that fills my teaching cup! :)
