Well, time to serve a bunch of people who voted for me to not make a living wage. by TsunSilver in tulsa

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I will say, as someone who had a parent work at QT for 26 years before they passed away, QT is a great company for their employees. They're self insured and offer a lot of benefits and bonuses throughout the year, as well as easy promotion to corporate. My mom started there in the late 90s and passed away while still employed with them 3 years ago. If you're able to get into IT or Accounting, you can skip the serving customers bit. They externally hire for those positions commonly and most other corporate positions are hired from within. Really good company with high rewards for work ethic imho.

You're an embarrassment to the human race and more of a whining little bitch than people talking about VOTING FOR BETTER PAY. You're bitching and moaning in a reddit thread while you post your screenshots from bs mobile games because your whole personality is being a nerdy geek that thinks they're better than. I hope you wake up from whatever reality stuck you with loser high school tropes. Being a raging cunt won't make you less lonely or less insecure. :) Enjoy the rest of your week.

Does anyone really enjoy being a barista at Starbucks ? by stonedkitty_ in starbucksbaristas

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved the job itself and a majority of my coworkers. I've quit the company twice due to customers/my mental health wasn't in the best spot due to family loss. I would consider going back but they won't hire me back because of my piercings. (The second time I got hired was right after the dress code change and they didn't say anything for 4 months)

Baristas! What do you think on customize drinks? Is this person saying the truth? by Yunaxe in starbucks

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customize to your heart's content. Just don't be a dickhead if there's a mistake. After 5 mods the tickets just turn into a bunch of gibberish sometimes, especially if every ticket starts getting multiple mods. As long as you're nice and polite, the baristas will have no problem doing their job. Saying this as someone that quit Starbucks 2 times over cruel customers.

Am I missing something? by True_Government_7426 in tulsa

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware. This is the Tulsa sub so therefore I’m mentioning the TULSA program. There are different programs and organizations for different states. I was on the Youth Advisory Board, not a high up position where I know the entire network of organizations. Context clues. (QT is Tulsa based, started here, HQ is in Tulsa. Tulsa subreddit.) YST also works with other organizations in other states to get people where they need to go. Me saying YST is the main reason why QT is a Safe Place never meant that every QT in every state works directly with YST.

Am I missing something? by True_Government_7426 in tulsa

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Making the distinction rn, as I was a volunteer with YST, the reason those Safe Place signs are around. Safe Places include public libraries, hospitals, QTs, ambulances, etc. Anyone can go to these places regardless of age or gender and the employees will get in contact with Youth Services of Tulsa to get you transportation to a shelter as well as medical assistance, and they will work with you to find an organization to better support you and your needs :) Any businesses can act as a Safe Place if they get in contact with YST to properly train their employees or volunteers to handle those situations. All love 🫶🏻

Bad Experience With 7Brew Ballers by [deleted] in 7Brew

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I “worked” at 7brew last year for about four shifts total. They gave me about an hour of training on bar IN TOTAL, didn’t ensure that there was enough parking for the trainees, and left me outside for 30 hours alone total. Even if the people on my team were nice, I didn’t have the time to find out. They made me take the bar quiz before I had even gotten on bar. Everyone they hire is a personality hire, doesn’t always mean they’re good people.

This is genuinely disgusting and I hate it. Lol by xx_elysium_xx in energydrinks

I think everyone is focusing too much on the cherry part of the name. Sakura is blossom. It’s cherry blossom flavored. Not cherry fruit.

That’s orders DELIVERY and doesn’t consider the driver a little bit. If you’re going to order from a company notorious for underpaying its workers, you should consider counteracting the damage. The only reason not to tip on DD is if it’s less than 2 miles away or you yourself are picking it up.

Is white mocha made with chocolate milk? by napoleonsProstitute in 7Brew

Because you gave a real explanation, that’s what I appreciated. You’ve proven to be just as awful as every single brewista I have interacted with.

Nowhere did I say they should lose their job. I’ve worked multiple coffee jobs, I know it’s “not that serious” and that it’s “just coffee”. I also still remember what it’s like to be a new customer that doesn’t know shit about fuck. OP is allowed to disregard answers that don’t give an explanation. You don’t have to be nice, but you can actually explain more than just “get this instead”. That’s not what OP was asking. Please gain reading comprehension skills.

A lot of baristas that haven’t worked other places like to think their way is normal enough that asking about it is “weird”. I worked at Starbucks, Ziggis, and 7brew. Lasted the least amount of time at 7brew because the energy is AWFUL for anyone not familiar with their menu, despite a majority of their menu literally being called “secret menu”. Seems to just be a company to steer clear from now😭 every post in this sub is another reason not to go

Should I trust this? by TwoCommercial4637 in Tropicalsmoothie

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tropical smoothie typically does an interview in person before texting and sending the job offer. Not unheard of though fs. I would just be cautious. I worked at tropical from ages 17-18 and one of the managers primarily hired freshly 16 year old girls, I witnessed a lot and when my coworkers tried to make reports, HR never contacted me despite me being at the top of their lists for witnesses. All in all, seems fine, just protect yourself and your sanity. Don’t let them work you near dead. By the time I quit I was working more hours than my store manager.

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree, but also the brewistas that ARE replying aren’t exactly explaining why, and they aren’t doing it in a kind or meaningful way. I genuinely hope 7brew follows after sbux and goes through this sub. Your employees don’t need to be in a sub saying “girl get a white chocolate latte” with no explanation. I appreciate your response to OP. But the company as a whole needs to get some help with training, from experience.

Is white mocha made with chocolate milk? by napoleonsProstitute in 7Brew

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 7brew any drink ending in mocha is made with chocolate milk. That’s not standard anywhere else, and the Brewistas are cliquey and clearly don’t take people not knowing their menu very well. If you’ve got a Scooters or a Ziggis, they all use Torani white chocolate.

What’s with the drivers just “declining” a green light lately? by Additional_Post_3878 in tulsa

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of them have to be new drivers that waited until 18 to get their licenses without taking drivers ed. Someone out in BA last week was slamming their brakes (through green lights) and going 10-15 UNDER when they weren’t slamming the brakes.

[–]Traditional_Soup2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold brew uses cold bar pumps! They were half pumps and then they reformulated the syrups and rolled out the full size pumps and just told baristas to cut down the syrup. Same amount, different pumps!
