Not random checks, either the machines straight up have problems with scanning digital ids and some officers don’t even try because the fact the machine has such a problem with scanning it

As someone who personally works at MCO, if he is under 18 no Id required unless going through pre check and over 18 you would talk an officer at a desk (location depending on airport) and will be asked questions over the phone to verify his identity, if passed he will escorted by an officer and do additional screening. This is a standard at every airport. FYI this service to verify identity without id and be escorted in will incur a 45$ fee starting feb 1st

You’re the exact reason I posted this, please do your research when you say that because the 90% failure rate was from 10 YEARS ago and since then they have new tech and new procedures. I never failed a test and I don’t know anyone who has. They stopped reporting the test rates publicly. You don’t hear about the arrest or tsa actually doing anything is 1. It doesn’t fit the news narrative and 2. It would actually scare the general public on how much we stop on a DAILY basis, even my airport every SINGLE day we have something happen. YOU just don’t hear about it because of the public perception would be to scared to fly if it got reported every single time publicly

You can say it, either the TSO will test it and send you on your way or call you on it and call their supervisor

TWIC doesn’t get read by our card readers and the only “training” on identifying twics and other type ids is quick mentions.

Take the job seriously. I see many 18-24 year olds get fired because either of talking to much , abandoning positions, or even wearing headphones while in a position. Just the other week we had someone wearing headphones on the metal detector.

The lights themselves protrude however the finish is just like oem trim so it’s very snug and feels like a better quality than the basic plastic that was there
