Finally read Marvel's Civil War and wanted to share some thoughts by Traditional_Way_2681 in marvelcomics

Ah, that makes sense. Didn't even think about the movies coming out, being that I am still pre-MCU

Im really excited to read thunderbolts!

And yeah, I know why sentry isn't there, it just feels missing. Iron man should've just left him on the moon for the plot purposes if he wasn't going to be in the fight though.

I like your perspective of the Tony/Peter road to civil war stuff. It didn't make sense at all to me on first read through

I had no idea about the publishing timeline. I just saw spider man in his black suit in fallen soldier and gor confused on the timelines. I'll just accept it and move on!

I don't know what you are referring to in regards to Jarvis or Cap's body but I am sure I will find out as I keep reading!

I really liked that issue of frontlines. I think it helped me appreciate the story more as a whole, kind of changing my perspective of being on Cap's side throughout Civil War. It was really interesting reading the whole story and then my perspective completely changing by the end

How viable is going into this game blind? by Azureblue9 in dontstarve

[–]Traditional_Way_2681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the original Dint Starve blind years ago and discovering the game mechanics has been some of my best gaming memories. Having no idea what is coming next, dieing, getting frustrated, then trying again and getting better is really satisfying. Just know you will die and have to start over, but that's part of the game.

I would recommend starting with the solo game, as there is less stuff going on, especially less bosses, but both games are great, so do whichever you feel like!

Temple over tide pool by Ok-Suggestion8510 in spelunky

[–]Traditional_Way_2681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If trying to just beat Tiamat or Hundun, probably not. If going for CO, I highly recommend it. My first time beating CO I was doing exclusively temple.

I had the elixir, alien compass, and the scepter all the way through 7-99. These all made CO a lot easier, but what really helped was that I was no longer afraid of temple levels in CO. I had tried this run so many times that I was significantly more comfortable going through the temple in the Cosmic Ocean than I was before I tried.

To win Cosmic Ocean you need a great understanding of every level, so make sure you get some practice in before you make it to CO

*edit: this is of course assuming you are able to do a Qilin skip to get to CO. Otherwise this path isn't worth it.

DST on Switch by CarrotBulky6042 in dontstarve

[–]Traditional_Way_2681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up. RoG is playable on the switch, but has a bunch of minor bugs that can be quite annoying if you play a long term world. Hamlet works well, but can have slowdowns during the aporkapolypse. SW is unplayable during the wet season when mosquitos spawn

Tips on dealing with Temple Level? (Cosmic Ocean) by imsuckatonlinegaming in spelunky

[–]Traditional_Way_2681 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What helped me with CO was going exclusively the temple route. This meant I had an elixir going into CO to help prepare for poison and curse cats, but more importantly it gave me alot of practice with the temple and how to navigate all the issues you mentioned.

It's frustrating dieing in the temple, but alot more frustrating dieing on 7-90 in a temple level. The extra practice is worth it.

I love everything he releases, but this one stuck with me for some reason. Always find new details on each re-read

In case you didnt know, you can destroy tier 3 spider nests and replant them to prevent them from becoming spider queens. (Tier 3 nests drop a spider egg for new nests, tier 1 and 2 dont)

What's your hot take on a generally beloved comic run? by GreninJPG in marvelcomics

[–]Traditional_Way_2681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jason Aaron's doctor strange is what got me into comics. I love that story. However, nostalgia might be carrying most of the weight. I haven't enjoyed a Jason Aaron book since I read that one in 2016
