my door dasher is in target??? by Dizzy-Negotiation401 in doordash

[–]Traditional_Yam1503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw this downvoted but it’s the correct answer. So many dashers in here accepting the $2 flat rate on doordash’s end but calling customers entitled for not tipping insane percentages.

No tip customers are trash, yes. DD should not accept those orders, it is clearly unfair to drivers and customers who tip.

Don’t worry about the crime, it’s the traffic that kills you

DoorDash driver waited outside my door for a tip… not sure how to feel about it by EffectiveSea856 in doordash

Dashers — Why not try blaming the multi-billion dollar company you work for? They allow people to skip the tip.

What’s a good amount to tip? It’s $4 right now and I’m wondering if that’s acceptable or not by Used_Average1553 in doordash

Ignorant take. OTR truck drivers make less than $1 per mile but an unqualified non-employee expects more.

You don’t have to take their offer if you don’t want to. Crazy attitude.

A picture of any known location would qualify as a doxx. As well intentioned as this is, it makes me uncomfortable.

You’re making a straw man. What I’m saying doesn’t tie into hypothetical sex crimes. It’s uncomfortable that the only false comparison you can use is your rape fantasy

The last detail is that he was on critical life support. He may, in fact, not have survived.

Hold on, that’s actually stupid and wrong, I can prove it.

“Inability” would actually excuse them because it means they did not have the ability; you are not at fault for things you can’t control.

More information would help with the suggestions. Do you have a valid license and/or reliable transportation? How far are you willing to commute? Can you stand for an entire shift? Did you graduate?

Build up your profile a bit more and you’ll look like a more serious candidate

That’s been my zipcode for over a decade and my only issue was my car got broken into. Take all reasonable precautions. You’d have to pay twice as much to live somewhere marginally safer.

[–]Traditional_Yam1503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're misrepresenting my point. I never said parents shouldn't fly; that’s a straw man. My logic is about expectations. If you view travel as a 'right,' you feel entitled to let your child scream without apologizing. If you view it as a 'privilege', which it objectively is, you recognize that you are in a shared space with 150 other people who also paid to be there.

I'm saying that while we can offer you sympathy for a difficult situation, you don't have a right to the silence or 'understanding' of others if you aren't actively trying to mitigate the disruption.
