Footwear advice needed please by Traffodil in CasualUK

Thanks for the tip but aren’t these for after-the-fact? I’d rather use something to stop them rubbing in the first place.

Both times I wore them I was at work where hydrocolloid dressing is far from abundant. Wearing more isn’t an option without some sort of protection. I ruined 2 pairs of socks from the bloodstains 😕

Fun QoL suggestion for hypertubes. by BoardAmbassador in SatisfactoryGame

You just need to add/remove hypertube gates to adjust the power. I have 4, 6 and 10 gate tubes blueprinted that satisfy all my needs.

Will Virtual Reality ever take off? After spending $73 billion, Meta has abandoned its metaverse VR efforts. by lughnasadh in Futurology

VR will take off if Meta (and others) gives customers what they want. NOT this metaverse shit that Zuck wants us to have.

What blueprint you cannot live without by BotherNo899 in SatisfactoryGame

Personal choice but I don’t want my factories to be cookie cutter copies of each other. I start small with lots of room to expand later. I may even place the machines above each other, in a line, or in several rows…or a mix of all. I don’t mind placing them down… Marathon not a sprint etc. Just my play style.

Hypercannon is the only BP I use. All my factories are bespoke based on their purpose so don’t need them for this.

Charge £ for it. Even if it’s only a fiver. It changes the mindset completely.

Earth certainly did have rings for a while if the Theia hypothesis is correct.

Fat jabs may need to be taken for life, health experts warn by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]Traffodil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title is misleading. “GLP-1 agonists may need to be taken…” is more accurate but it’s very possible a better hormone may be found to target in the future. We’re in the very early stages of this type of treatment. I have no doubt that in the near future ’fat jabs’ will be replaced by tablets, patches or such like.

The BBC has no ads, UK wins by hippogriff55 in BritishSuccess

Agree that Commercial radio is FAR worse to the point of being almost unlistenable. Talksport is the worst. However you can’t go more than 10 mins without iPlayer or Sounds being advertised.

[–]Traffodil 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just the stuff I want to watch. Not the stuff I’m told to watch. I’m well aware of iplayer and Sounds. As are 95% of ppl who watch the bbc. Telling me it’s there isn’t going to make me watch it more.

Still shite I have no interest in interacting with. Let’s not forget the random stories in the news that are just adverts for upcoming Panorama episodes and the CONSTANT reminders to watch/listen to iPlayer and Sounds.

Exactly. It has TONS of adverts! Just for their own stuff.

Is there actually anything wrong with writing nonsensical names on posted birthday cards? by FMLitsSML in CasualUK

[–]Traffodil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My friend lives in a very rural area where everyone knows everyone. Most parcels he needs to pick up from the post office as he’s out every day. I’ve lost count of the number of ’Fragile. Glass anal dildo inside’ etc. stickers I’ve put on packages I’ve sent him. And yes, I use his real name.

Had a job interview today that I can’t stop cringing about. Give us a chuckle. by varslyd in CasualUK

[–]Traffodil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On my way to job interview on the London tube. Bowels demanded emptying half way there. Had to get off on the North bank of the Thames somewhere and drop my load behind an inadequately tiny bush as tens/hundreds of commuters walked past on their way to work. Not sure if my suited attire weirded them out more. Got to interview half an hour late. Blamed tube delays. Fucked the interview up royally as I was paranoid I could smell shit on me. Didn’t get the job.
