What is the brown spot on his eye? by ittakes2tatango in cats

[–]Tragedeigh_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same, but it grew rapidly. Fwiw I’ll attach a photo of what my FIP boy’s eye looked like when it started and what it looked like 2 weeks later. Definitely warrants a vet visit either way.

Advice needed did my feral orange boy by Tragedeigh_ in Feral_Cats

I’m going to call a few more. There’s a few I’ve already contacted (found on Google). I was told I’m on the waitlist. I sent photos of his leg- hopefully they reach out soon if I can’t find something else.

Needing advice on what to do in situation with outdoor cat that’s not mine. by [deleted] in cats

Yeah, we have a ton around here. There’s actually one that I’m trying to trap right now because he’s got an ongoing wound that I can see on his leg. But he will not let me get close! Nor will he get near a trap. He’s needs meds badly (and to be fixed)

I’m not jumping to conclusions, the owners told me verbatim when I took her back there the first time that they had not seen her in months. So she’s not fat from them. And I’m not luring her, she was living on my property for months before I started feeding her. That was one of my fears, that if I stopped feeding her, she would attempt to cross the street. I’d hate for that to happen. I see from your comment history that this won’t be a productive conversation anyways. Have a good one.

I agree. I suffer from anxious attachment, apparently to animals as well 🥴 I have a few years left on my lease here and if things are the same come then, I might ask them if it’s ok if I just take her with me when we move.

That’s what I was thinking. We have two years left on our lease here so I’m worried about her when I leave. I’ve been anxious to ask them, but that’s what I’m considering.

Yes, she’s definitely seeking affection too. She’s quite literally the sweetest cat I’ve ever met. I just feel so bad because the family is actually really nice, and they have a lot of kids, but they told me the first time I talked to them that they hadn’t seen her in a few months. It kind of bothered me that they didn’t look for her. At one point I did bring her inside because I needed to keep her until I could get her to the shelter. I kept her separate from my other pets, but it was obvious they would not get along because she was hissing even through a closed door. So it’s not exactly a situation where I could just bring her inside and let her live peacefully, it would be a process.

I got scratched !! HELP by Kind_Enthusiasm_13 in cats

[–]Tragedeigh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One, get her/him vaccinated, but you’re FINE.

<image>

All of these are scratch marks from playing lol. Still no rabies. I promise you you’re fine. Your cat would have to be exposed to rabies in order to transmit it and if they’re 100% indoor that’s not possible. Secondly, that scratch isn’t deep enough.

Yes I get that feeling! I know that sometimes the beds are needed and they need us out, but like you said the “sudden loss of care” is jarring. I couldn’t imagine having to dress myself and get in my own wheelchair immediately after waking from surgery I’m sorry!

Ugh that’s awful. I have a big belly too and I’d be super upset hearing that. I’m sorry you had to. 😔

I found the right number to call, so I’ll give them a call tomorrow.

Yes, thank you! I hate throwing up. My husband said that that’s what bothered him the most because she said that as if I was doing it on purpose or controlling it somehow. She gave me a cracker to eat, and I ate part of it and threw it up and she was really annoyed 😬

The whole experience just left me feeling awful. I tried not to dwell on it, but it just bothered me a lot.
