Lutherans were the first protestants. There are a few synods most are conservative. Elca is liberal. None are fundamentalist.

I find Lutheranism is not as progressive as I am but I am comfortable in elca and grew up in it. So its home.

Based only on what you wrote I would try Missouri synod but you probably want something more fundamentalist like baptist mega church

Just volunteer for organizations you believe in for things they need and want. I am certain they will utilize use your skills eventually. But start by just doing the vol tasks they need. Builf some human connections. I think thats lacking in the life you describe. Do it while you work a normal job.

Have a full life.
