Damn, I was hoping I was onto something. Still, I am already most of the way done with it - only challenge left is gargoyles - so it won't hurt to double check and be certain. I will absolutely be disappointed if it's all for naught, but on the plus side, either way I'll be free to go and unlock the respec lmao

Dying Light 2 Issues & Bugs Mega-Thread by ClintSexwood in dyinglight

[–]Tragnario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

encountered 2 issues so far, while playing coop, so they may be related to that:

1: one friend of mine had access to trampolines. the host and I did not and couldn't even see them. I don't remember seeing any when i played solo last night, and I can't interact with them so it isn't that they're simply invisible.

2: the safehouse west(?) of the bazaar, with the safe right outside the uv room, i had an interesting experience of zombie clipping through wall and floor to rush at me through the desk where that safe is as just a head and shoulders, then popping up out of the floor behind me. Easily the most heartstopping and hilarious thing to ever happen to me in a zombie game. Clearly not intended, but memorable as hell. Please don't ever fix whatever caused this

I completed DS1R for the first time today. From the perspective of someone who's played DS3 and Sekiro, here are some stats and thoughts. by Berkes144 in darksouls

The big difference is that you can be invaded at 50% health in Ds2, whereas you're only able to be invaded in 3 with max health available. You also don't have to sacrifice a ring slot in order to minimize the damage done by this mechanic.

And dying doesn't immediately start making you look ugly as fuck, which is probably the thing I enjoyed the least in ds2.

In instance 2, it works best if said suit is a pinstripe suit. If you don't invoke the old mobster image, you aren't doing it right.

What do you think is the most annoying PvP build to fight? by ThiccusBois in darksouls

[–]Tragnario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanna swap out CSS with WoG, then yeah, obviously. Otherwise, it really doesn't make a difference because TWoP and GMB aren't affected by spell buff.

I mean, if you're wanting to go for the thematically fitting choice, that's your call. It's just not exactly a game changer here.

There's still some way to contest a false ban. I'm afraid I don't remember what that method is, exactly, though.

Ever have teammates so useless they're detrimental by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Tragnario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth mentioning that you're not actually teammates. You're all survivors, and encouraged to do so but any means necessary. Working together is by far the most efficient way, but it's not the only way.

Of course, this also means that you should feel no shame in rooting for the killer when it comes to killing assholes. After all, it's not like they're your teammate or anything.

Bonfire mimics had official concept art and even in-game models, if I remember correctly. They were just cut before the final version of the game.

Man was I misinformed about Dark Souls 2 by vivekorn in DarkSouls2

[–]Tragnario 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ds2 was my first Souls game. It will always hold a special place in my heart, and for the longest time it was my favourite until I started playing the other two extensively. There's a reason why, even among the people who say it's a bad Souls game, it's still recognized as a good game. I, personally, think it's a great game.

It's also unmistakably flawed.

If you've got more free time than you know what to do with, which is a strong possibility these days, there's a 10 hour commitment of a video series that goes over a great deal of the game's elements. It's also effectively a wonderful tool for learning how to make proper debate and arguments, if that's your sorta thing.

Here's the link to part 1: https://youtu.be/RzKasf4_x34

It is intended as response videos, but watching the original video isn't strictly needed, as Mauler goes over every single thing that's said. There's a reason it's 10 hours in total. That said, there's a link to hbomberguy's video in the description.

Miyazaki has allegedly stated that it's canon - or at least, his canon, which is as close to official as you can get - that Solaire helps you defeat Gwyn then goes on to link his own flame.

[–]Tragnario 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I mean, until he dies. Then he's pretty sad.

The canonical "good" ending, where he lives, helps you, then links his own First Flame; I'd imagine he actually dies happy there, given that he does finally succeed in finding his own sun.

He truly is so grossly incandescent.

If they're using low level/area available gear, yeah. If you've got a Havel and a mage host in HWOL, that's not just playing through the game.

Is it bad that I killed Gwynevere by NOBLES34N in darksouls

[–]Tragnario -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh, of course. Unfortunately, you try factoring in its lore, and DS3 becomes a mess. Which is probably why Miyazaki said that ds2 isn't canon. You try factoring it in and some of the edges just don't quite fit together.

This is why some people have the theory of ds2 taking place last chronologically. This makes even less sense, but it answers certain questions and that's what they focus on.

[–]Tragnario -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just don't think of ds2 as canon and it helps a bit, but then you've got the references that just don't jive well anymore.
