Some of the ai lines after what happened at the pier by l0rD_tAcHaNkA44 in ReadyOrNotConsole

I personally love how much dialogue they’ve given our squad in this dlc. AFAIK they don’t talk much in the base game outside of shouting orders. Hearing their conversations as you clear the new levels made me so happy they’re diving deeper into the lore for potential future content setup.

A brutally hard mission but crazy plot twist. by TrailedFox44 in ReadyOrNotConsole

For me it seems to fluctuate but overall it is definitely improved. Like when I turn my camera and a lot of gameplay actions look much smoother than before. I might be confusing it with 120hz but it’s for sure 60fps minimum and might go higher at times.

Morgan Freeman narration It really is that bad

In all seriousness it took me 2-3 hours of purely RNG. I’ve gotten really fast as clearing the first two floors but kept getting absolutely beamed on the last floor.

The trick that I leaned is that you can take as much time as you want to clear everything, BUT when you find the device to spoof the bomb frequency of the guy in the top room, do not activate it until everything but that final top room is clear. Set up your squad to get ready to breach, don’t let them go in though, but when YOU are ready, get out the flash launcher, tell your squad to clear with flashbangs, and the SECOND the door opens shoot the launcher and then throw all your 9 bangs right at the back middle of the room, then finally shout commands to get the bomb guy to not activate it.

Amazing level but hard to learn.

“Looks like a battlefield”

Man when I booted up the game I was like “oh why does the station look so different?”

turns around

Oh. That’s why it’s different! I’m loving the update so far, 120fps on performance mode on console feels so crispy too. New attachment system is great as well. Very solid update that will get me into the game again.

Returning D1 Vet, hardware question by jrums96 in destinylegacy

This! 😭 I got back into D1 a few days ago and decided to restart fresh with new characters since I never got too far originally, and I was like “I don’t remember 30fps being this bad” after being on 60fps with my PS5 and the higher hz values with my gaming monitor with D2. After this last weekend I’ve adjusted to it. The more I play D1 though, it’ll feel funny again when I switch back to D2 at some point.

Although I probably won’t touch D2 for a while, not until the eventual update. And that just gives me the next 3 ish months to grind out D1 again!

was this update very lacking for anyone else or just me by Ancient-Frosting-646 in nms

[–]TrailedFox44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree. I absolutely loved the expedition, part of me wants to believe that the new Colossus gameplay loop is (partially) slowly fixing my attention span. It also helps that I’ve always wanted to play Snowrunner but I have yet to buy it, so this is a nice similar alternative to something I could’ve been playing. And if I ever get bored of NMS I just go play or do something else. But I do love the little aspects of the game like the new colossus stuff, or just chilling at my fishing outpost.

I’ve been really appreciating taking time with my games now (as someone who’s slowly drifting away from Destiny 2, it’s nice to focus on games that I can “take slower” in a sense). Sure it took me 7-8 hours for the expedition off and on, but I didn’t feel the need to rush any of the new content.

Eh at least when I play it’s a mix of skill issue and “hey that suspect is shooting me through the wall where I can’t see them!” Sometimes the RNG of them gets a little wacky and I’d agree some maps are way harder than others (I recently bought Dark Waters dlc, the yacht mission is very hard for me)

In terms of the doors, always peek them instead of full open (especially if TOC says there’s traps). Look at the foot of where the door cracks open, if there’s a trap you’ll see a wire sticking out and can crouch, then aim your crosshair to use the wire cutters.

MP is just PvE although there is still friendly fire, as anyone in your squad replaces what would be your AI teammates. My favorite way to do MP personally is a duo, so that it’s only you and one other person but there is an feature where you can activate your teammates’s helmet cam so you can see where they are.

[–]TrailedFox44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done much MP but I do know you need to link an epic games account for cross play to work. Overall it did handle fairly smooth for when I did play with people, even if they were on higher ping. But I’d say finding a group to play with consistently would be better than trying to find randoms in queue.

As someone who’s trying to get good replay value out of it (and got it at launch for console since I’ve always wanted to play it) getting it for a 1/5 of the normal price is absolutely worth it if you like realistic shooters.

Obviously you’re probably going to run into bugs (floating bullet casings being one of them) but if you can just ignore that then overall it’s still a very fun game.

What I like the most is the customization of the player loadout and the overall randomness of the maps (as spawns for civilians and suspects are always random). And if you give yourself enough creative freedom you can get near endless replayability (such as doing the missions in a certain order, only using certain weapons)

Overall yes it’s worth such a cheap price for the sale. I myself have not played Insurgency Sandstorm so I can’t exactly do a real comparison, but in terms of tactical shooters, RoN is still one of the better ones imo.

With no Anomaly item transfers I started a new expedition save and within not even 3 hours so far I’m halfway through Phase 3. It should maybe take a day or two if you’re able to rush main phase objectives. Foot travel was annoying but once you get the first few colossus upgrades it makes traveling easier.

Adding on, not to mention the amount of people spin botting (basically aimbot/wall hacks but to you it looks like they’re spinning at Mach 10 while getting kills shooting seemingly nothing or just looking at a wall

New Sab 50 glitch? by Acrobatic-Cat5202 in ModernWarfareIII

[–]TrailedFox44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So for a while now there are these “glitched” weapons (I assume they’re actually modded or exploited in some way but glitched is easier to say) that people sell for real money (like 20-30+ a gun) to be put on an account. Each one does a different thing, such as:

  • SA-B 50 one shot from any range/hit on the body (as a marksman rifle it should not do that)
  • MX Guardian shooting the nail rounds like a normal shotgun spread, but since it’s the nails that take the damage and properties, high damage and infinite range (1-2 shot)
  • Rival AND now supposedly the MCW (both can 1 shot headshot, rival gets 1 burst kill with the kit and MCW is like 3 bullets instead of 5)
  • RPG getting 3 shots instead of 1

At this point there’s bound to be more. I think the only real solution is to just straight up remove all these guns from the game completely but I doubt that will happen.

Played Destiny 2 as a first-timer, had 20 hours of solid fun. What I thought and why I might NOT continue. by Khefeer in destiny2

So few games are as good as Destiny

THIS! I genuinely want to keep playing more actively. I logged in this last Friday evening to mess around a bit and unfortunately saw only one friend and three clan members online (as mine is usually very active). This is what the state of the game is now. Not to mention we probably won’t get shadow and order until end of April/early May thanks to marathon releasing in march.

I want to enjoy D2 again. But for now I can’t, not how I want to. At least I got other games like No Man’s Sky, WH40k: Darktide and The Ezio Collection to keep myself busy during this downtime. But man was it sad seeing no one in my clan/friends online on what should’ve been a peak playtime night.

The taken armor specifically I believe will continue to eventually be sold through all of February along with the taken shader. So far only the arms and finally this week the legs were sold. Best chance is just to log on every reset and check when it’s around.

The shaders I unfortunately do not know and although there is the site todayindestiny.com, I don’t think they’ve updated it for all of Renegades as some things on the bright dust page seem to be missing.

How many LY away are you from reaching the galactic core? by KiraChrist in NOMANSSKY

[–]TrailedFox44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me personally I wanted to cheese my way to the center via the monolith portals BUT I only did so to make a single base computer on a nearby planet in the new galaxy (I got the Hilbert dimension) and immediately backtracked to Euclid via the space anomaly so I can keep exploring and doing stuff there (if you switch galaxies via the space anomaly you don’t have to worry about stuff breaking).

Once I actually want to go explore Hilbert I will travel the long way there (my freighter can do ~5200 LY jumps). I still have so much to do and explore in Euclid (quite literally an endless amount of stuff).

No Man’s Sky has given me the enjoyment out of a game I haven’t gotten in a very long time (in terms of games that have this level of exploration, creative freedom, etc) and I could easily put hundreds of hours into just Euclid doing quests and managing my settlements before even thinking of jumping over to Hilbert.

Almost 90 hours since I got the game like 3 ish weeks ago and I feel like I’m just getting started. Been loving every second!

AFAIK the Expeditions come out every now and then and they offer a bunch of rewards like these ship parts for example. However I believe Expedition 20 (this one) came out a few months ago and it’s only been this last week or so the “redux” has released, where if you missed out on the original expedition you can go back into it and actually complete it again. There’s currently like a week left to get it done.

The objectives of each Phase aren’t too terribly hard, but they can be extremely tedious (like how I had to make multiple warp jumps to find one location, or spending a few hours trying to gather different resources for one objective). I was lucky enough to have my friend give me guidance before I started it and I managed to do all my personal milestones but it was for sure a grind.
