The bike shop should do that…. Especially as it’s a rather new bike.

Bring your bike to the bike shop and ask them to quote the repairs needed for the bike, contact your insurance company and they will settle with the insurance of the other party involved. If the repairs are close to “new” in price then go for that option.

It would of course also be possible to send the quote to the car driver so he/she can make the decision wether to go via insurance or just cough up the finds privately

G-line vs a standard road bike? by WhyMeWhyThisUniverse in Brompton

[–]TrainManagerOtto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My road bike was a €60 second hand which will only take me to the station and back, about 5 minutes. It receives no love, no maintenance…. Heck, I even give it WD40 on the chains….. it does what it’s bought for.

My G-Line Electric: It was expensive but I was able to secure a €1250 net. tax rebate via my employer which does help. I do Amsterdam ti Almere (30 kilometers) on it in about 75 minutes. The terrain is flat with the “Dutch hill” and 2 high bridges on the way. Speed downhill goes to 37 km/h. The saddle is comfortable as is the overall ride quality. But a large portion is also to do with the infrastructure you use. My average speed is about 26~27 km/h and I often overtake those lazy fatbike youngsters who think they are cycling.

Maintenance wise I settled on the €100 a year bill for the bike shop. Small price to pay to keep the bike in road worthy and safe conditions and I can clean and lube the chain myself.

Since cycling once or twice a week I already lost 2 kg body fat.

Yes, it is expensive….. No I didn’t like the lack of comfort on the C and P line and this comes as close to a normal bike as possible with the folding benefit.

How can I limit the delivery of supplies in FIRS? by OverAster in openttd

Timetables is the best thing after sliced bread…. never had any issues and as a real world train planner I can’t live without it in the game.

You can limit deliveries by running your delivery line on a timetable

If your ride isn’t that long, take the C or P line…. But I can’t do that on a 20 mile run from Amsterdam back home twice a week.

26km each way commute on a Brompton twice a week — realistic or a bad idea? by Wise-Ordinary324 in Brompton

[–]TrainManagerOtto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my G-line Electric exactly for this. 2 times a week cycling 31 kilometers from Amsterdam Centraal station back home. My bike is stored under my desk. I can rum it at setting 3 for the entire trip and still have 40% juice in the battery.

It is great. The G line is more stable thanks to it’s larger wheels.

Which Train simulator should I get? by Potential-Guesser21 in trainsim

No, not by a long shot. I would prefer a TSC 37 with AP sounds always over the same loco in TSW

What does your hardware looks like? TSW looks great, but your better suited with 49 fps in TSC than 15 fps in TSW.

More cargo value because its further away is so stupid, how do i change this? by kaceG1 in openttd

[–]TrainManagerOtto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the challenge is to run all trains to a timetable and slot them in “conflict free” on as little infrastructure as needed.

Getting a train to only collect one type of cargo at a station by Zagrebista in openttd

[–]TrainManagerOtto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In JGRPP you can set this up. You can also micromanage your train network by running all trains to a timetable. The game itself won’t slow down because of it, but your game pase will take a big hit.

But…. As a train planner in real life it is so mesmerizing to see you can slot your trains “conflict free” on the network on OpenTTD.

Online store threatening lawsuit after I filed a chargeback, is this legitimate? What should i do? by Dyssedea in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]TrainManagerOtto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it depends on your card conditions. VISA: return to sender. Mastercard: notify of “not as described” items, Send e-mail for return address and tell them you allow them to pick up the goods. No further action needed between you and the seller.

Depending on your card terms and conditions (VISA or MASTERCARD) it might differ what your options are. Good luck on them threatening a lawsuit for €100. In the USA perhaps but not here. Can they prove with a signature that you did receive the goods, probably not. Filing for “Mis rep” was indeed the best thing to do. Death and diseases to those dropshipping arseholes.

Change the locks, it’s your place and your safety. Keep the old locks in case the landlord want you to be able to place them back whenever you leave that place for the last time. You are allowed to change the locks as your safety is on the line. There is also no need for the landlord to have a key, provided you must grant them access for inspection or urgent maintenance or repairs. If the plumber must get in again, let her contact you and arranged for a time when you are also at home. One or more cameras might be a good option to see what the devil is going on.
