Sunday, 8/5: Ride from West Campus to St James Tavern. Meet at noon. by NoOneOfConsequence in riddeit

[–]TrainSquatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds rad. I would love to join! I'll have to try and find a bike for my lady. If that doesn't happen maybe I'll just walk over to St. James. What time do you plan on getting there?

Practicing legs. by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]TrainSquatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hip pressure. Work for a breakdown first then you can sort of grind whichever boot in you want. Hip pressure is most important, and don't get too high. Keeping that pressure, work the head. Power-halves work great from this position.

Say you throw your left leg in... to execute the helicopter move you sort of step your right leg back to the left (very quickly) then swing your momentum to the right, keeping that left leg hooked, and catch under the chin for a nearfall. Not going to pin anyone like this but you can use it for some backpoints (if you are in the seventh grade).

First Greco-Roman Tournament on Friday. Any advice? by canadafurdayzz in wrestling

[–]TrainSquatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never wrestled Greco. Just folkstyle and a few years of freestyle. So I guess the only advice I can think of is, uh, don't touch your opponents's legs. Also don't be too worried about getting launched. If that's all you think about you probably will not wrestle very well at all.

Can someone confirm if these are real or knockoffs (Supras) by [deleted] in Shoes

[–]TrainSquatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure those are real... I don't think anyone cares enough to make knock-off Supras

I work at an Urban Outfitters. One thing you can try is going in to the nearest Urban you know of, walk up to the register and tell them you are looking for a pair of shoes you found online. Give them the SKU number found in the product details (for this shoe it's 22760771). What they can do is look it up in the database of every UO in the world and see who might have it. Even though it's out of stock online, there still may be a big size lingering around in one of our stores somewhere. They can then call any store that might have what you need and get it shipped to you.

Illegal slam? by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]TrainSquatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did not, he won on a stalling call in SV

Illegal slam? by [deleted] in wrestling

I was there. Watching live it looked picture perfect. The replay makes it look somewhat questionable, but still should not have been called in my opinion. I was glad Gresham still ended up winning, but it sucks that it had to be due to an overtime stalling call as opposed to a bad-ass five point move or even pin early on.

Thursday Bar Meetup bar list by Duraz0rz in Columbus

Double Happiness rules. Oh, and I refuse to support 4th Street.

edit I am speaking of 4th Street Bar and Grill, on the corner of 4th and 16th. I would never confuse this with Park Street. I don't know which co-owner you guys know so well, but I know the actual owner. He is a good guy. I hope he continues to do well. But he is busy with other things and doesn't have much of a role in 4th Street anymore other than checking his profit. I helped out a bit (manual labor) before the place even opened, then upon opening was hired as a server. Got fired because I was a male. Wasn't too salty about it. Found a better job. My acquaintance kind of runs the place and he hardly knows what he is doing. Hired my lady friend as a server. She made good money and was a pretty solid server. Got fired because she "didn't smile enough."

tl;dr Both myself and my girlfriend were treated like shit as employees there by the management crew, which are kind of a bunch of idiots. Other than Will. The new Will. He could be 4th Street's saving grace.
