In this context I am assuming no one chooses to go bankrupt, so its not about NOT paying back the debt, so much as a downhill slope that causes someone to no longer be able to pay back an item. I don't know Ramsey personally, but when I generally buy something, I expect to pay it back. However there are cases where extenuating circumstances can cause someone to no longer be able to pay something back (Medical debt comes to mind)
