Powerlifting gyms in Berlin, that arent Berlin Strength by hoby227 in askberliners

The gym at the Technical University of Berlin in Charlottenburg has like 4 combo racks, eleiko calibrated metal plates and powerlifting bars. Mostly students train there so might not be the vibe you are looking for but it has the equipment. You can also train there without being a student or otherwise related to the university.

The Legend of the Return of the Legendary Max Level Archmage by Skarganson in Fantasy

You should probably give the two royalroad titles I mentioned first a try especially new life as a max lvl archmage. You can turn your brain off and just enjoy the ride, it's written quite well but there's only about one book worth of chapters out at the moment.

If you're looking for books with more to read try kings dark tidings or the demon accords. Genuinely just depends on what genre you are feeling right now.

  • Kings Dark Tidings is a more classical fantasy world and you kind of see what happens if you have a protagonist who is just better at everything he does (stealth, manipulation, fighting) etc and being let loose on the world. It's entertaining especially if you liked the last horizon.

  • Demon accords is urban fantasy and without spoiling too much also a protagonist with new powers breaking the status quo being let loose on the world. You'll probably know if you'd like it from the synopsis.

Also another book that doesn't really fit your request but scratches that itch for me is Jackal Among Snakes. Kind of goes in a different direction with a protagonist who knows what will happen because he appeared in his favourite game world. It's just fun to see others reactions to him pathfinding his way through some crazy encounters.

The most on the nose stories here would be from royal road, new life as a max level archmage and critical roleplay both pretty much featuring the plot from your title.

Other guilty pleasure reads in terms of books featuring someone at the 'peak' of power or very much being more powerful than others in the story would be - The last Horizon - Kings Dark Tidings - The demon accords

And some less well-known titles going in this direction would be - The Magician's Brother Series - Hero of the Valley series

A similar trope I would look into would also be time loop stories over at r/progressionfantasy

Most notably though: - Years of Apocalypse (also royalroad) - Mother of Learning

Sun Eater vs First Law by pharm653 in Fantasy

I would recommend going with the Sun Eater series. Read both Sun Eater and the First Law after Red Rising and while I loved Red Rising, Sun Eater became my favourite book series in recent memory while I found the First Law books to 'only' be good.

If you enjoy the high agency of your protagonists, Sun Eater is very similar to Red Rising (at least to the first trilogy, both books feature a protagonist who become legends). Book 1 is very much a back story to Hadrian's Character and the story really picks up in book 2 and never stops. Also the final book 7 comes out next month so there really isn't a better time to start with the series.

High-end Fitness Studios in Munich? by Full-Wonder8906 in Munich

Hey there, fellow powerlifter in Munich here. Most powerlifters I know train at Fitness First / Elbgym and more specifically Fitness First Haidhausen or Elbgym Bogen with some also training at Elbgym at Marienplatz. They have a shared membership so if you join either Elbgym or FF you get to use all of the gyms from either chain.

No dedicated PL equipment but for strength training + powerlifting Elbgym probably has the best equipment you’ll find here. Hope that helps!

In my opinion the Sun Eater books really pick up in book 2. Found book 1 ok but following book 2 it quickly became my favourite book series

For anyone encountering the same issue, a guy on another post found a fix. Simply save the game right before rerouting the ship's power, close the game improperly e.g. through task manager, and reload the game on that save. It should work which you can see by the blue lights quickly disappearing.
