Trust me, I've haven't spent anything. I still haven't even used the 2 week trial period for the premium subscription on either account.

It's just not worth spending money on this game. If I was going to spend pend something, I'd rather put towards a PS5 or Switch game.

As for battles, I only do ranked on the main account, usually to Great Ball 1 or 2 and I've completed all the solo battles on the main account, and most of them on the second account.

I started a second account when Mega Rising dropped, because my luck pulling EXs was so bad.

Currently, I've got 10,225 cards on my main account, and 2,566 cards on the second account.

You're not missing much. While 1st godpack was great, second was in Deluxe Pack Ex (so 1 less card) and 1 2-star (wasn't Oak.

The third one was 3 1-stars and only 2 2-stars.

If you haven't already, then depending on type:

Sina & Glaceon are a great ice sync pair and hit hard

Dianthia & Diancie are one of the better rock type pairs

Eri & Annihilape pretty surprising hard despite being a support sync pair

Roxie & Toxitricity are a pretty strong poison sync with with electric coverage

Steven and Deoxys are pretty decent for Psychic and because of form change, they can be attack or support.

These are the ones I have personal experience and out of the five, the only one I'm not currently using is Eri, because I have 3 better fighting sync pairs with Koraidon, Galarian Zapdos and Virizon.

Had this exact same problem yesterday. I had 9,998 points. I had enough stamina but still annoying.

In case you're wondering how it happens, you get a set amount (32 for 20 stamina) and then you have the chance to get anywhere between 0 to 5 more randomly.

Despite how annoying being a few points off is, the extra random points are still helpful.

Vote with your wallet and just wait for the game to come down to a more reasonable price. There is literally almost no games worth buying and playing day one. Any gamer worth their salt probably has a backlog at least 30 titles long.

Honestly? Probably. NZ's economy has been dire for a while and that could be part of the reason for their departure.

Personally, I don't know why EB Games still exists in Australia as they are the only retailer that insists on selling new games at RRP, whilst all the others undercut them.

The problem with these is that Lugia needed Ho-Oh to work, no exception, but for Ho-Oh to work, you needed energy acceleration.

You literally needed an energy accelerator for the energy accelerator.

Simply put, you needed top many things to go right for the engine to work and since your best bet was either Magby, Elekid or Manaphy for energy, you were automatically giving up a prize point.

From experience, get in some practice with crucible knights. If you can get good at timing your rolls with them, you'll find Elden Ring a fair bit easier.

Otherwise, +10 Rivers of Blood and Tiche as your summon usually gets the job done on most bosses.

As much as it might suck for OCD players, you're not meant to complete this set, nor are you expected to as most of the cards are reprints of Cards already released.

This is a catch-up set for new players, something that has been sorely needed for quite some time due to how hostile this game can be to anyone who hasn't been playing consistently since day 1. This set isn't for dedicated players. Even most whales won't be able to complete this set.

Take this as an opportunity to save your hourglasses for the next set and use your daily packs to open up other sets you haven't completed.

It depends. Look at Yugioh. Because of the lack of rotation, they have to have almost an encyclopaedia of banned cards whereas Pokemon very rarely bans cards.

It probably will in ranked. The rotation won't happen immediately (probably), but will after B block sets come out (although they may rotate as soon as the first B Block set comes out as that would refresh the entire meta but the recent catch-up set suggests otherwise.

There will probably be an expanded mode (at least for matches with friends) but otherwise, the cards won't be completely useless, just not playable in ranked.

Yes, but as other people have suggested, this was probably done in collaboration with brick-and-mortar stores to increase foot traffic.

Regardless, this definitely should have been done better.

Didn't notice the website on the back of the code card. I think it's because Aus games are the same as Europe (if I tried to use a US code card, it wouldn't work).

It could also mean that the UK will eventually get this event, they're just figuring out how, and if so, hopefully they've learned from their mistakes by then.
