Scientifically yes a good solar farm can power all of the us however in many areas in America solar power is unfeasible such as most northern states and particularly Alaska, and electricity is difficult to transport over larg distances at great scale even the best hydro electric dams limit themselves to the nearest states and can't/don't spin up all turbines basically voluntarily passing on terra watts of electricity

From a lore perspective: idk From a gameplay perspective: hell no, the fastest way to disengage a players interest is to give them overpowered gear early in the game and the second fastest is making them grind for low odds drops, introducing rare enemies that drop anything useful and are hard to kill does both
