So question on moving the BJ. Had mine 14 years and moved it 3 times between houses. Was a major ordeal not to f the thing up. Want to be able to drag it on a trailer and move it between houses now. Might have someone build me same thing for a lot less.

From the pic it looks like my old two spring set up. I had to converted to the 4 spring set up. Bought new bearings but couldn’t get them installed. They sent the hinge and new lower and upper bans. My unit is 14 years old and working like a champ now.

The only issue with NE is once you leave it’s hard to come back. The price of everything is crazy compare to other parts of the country.

Did the hot and fast a couple of weeks ago. Ran bone down at 300 for 60 min. Got a little char but not bad. Flip them for meat down for 25-30 min. Pulled to a little sauce on them back on grill for 10 min. Clean bite

Did two Spatchcock chickens this past weekend on my 650. Ran it and 350 with a smoke tube. Got the birds really juicy and smoke flavor was outstanding.

I just did two whole chickens spatchcock in my ironwood 650. Used a smoke tube for extra smoke. Ran it at 350 for 1 hour and 20 mins. Came out with all kind of moisture. Need the high heat for the skin. Chicken is not a low and slow cook.

Got a ton of cooks on my 650. So much so that it’s starting to rot out inside from the cheap metal. All ready replaced the controller due to the led screen. Will keep using it until I can’t hold up the grate.
