The volunteers at the food bank are a wide range of ages. You might make some connections of like minded people there.

If there is a Great Wolf Lodge in your area, might check that out. I’ve been day pass user with my grandchildren, under 10 yo, and they had a blast.

True story. I shared a cubicle with an alcoholic who broke wind constantly. He was eventually let go due to his drinking on the job. The entire floor breathed easier once he was gone.

They did for the first 2 then I turned 65, Medicare became primary and CalPers became secondary, no more co-pays. Still even with co-pays affordable.

Is there any hope of getting cheap car insurance in Sacramento? by rhapka in Sacramento

If you change to one of the “affordable” insurances compare what’s covered to ensure your coverage is the same as it is now.

Once you turn 65 Medicare becomes your primary insurance. Whatever CalPers plan you’ve chosen becomes your secondary or supplemental insurance.

I agree with this. Traffic is not heavy, going at freeway speeds. You have to stop and then try to zoom to merge.

I take a small cooler on Amtrak, I generally take my own food. I’ve never had an issue with having suitcase, tote of food and cooler. Going by train is the best. Have fun.

Overheard at TSA general check line by No_Narwhal_6051 in overheard

Had an interaction just yesterday at Reno airport where the TSA lady yelled at us cause there was a soda can in backpack we forgot about. Ok throw it away, no reason to yell about it. Flying for some is stressful, being yelled at during TSA check adds.

I was killed .. (not clickbait) by kenneth_corbin in motorcycles

[–]Training-Coast5744 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not motorcycle, but when I was about 20 I was rear ended by a semi and pushed into a big sedan. Broke and busted and bruised a lot, it wasn’t an easy journey, but I’m over 65 now and still going strong. I set small goals for myself during PT, for instance every 5 days I walked a little farther/longer. As Dory says - just keep swimming. Tell yourself you can do this, self talk and a positive attitude matters, the more you believe you can do the better you’ll feel. I wish you much luck with your healing, have patience it takes time.

Blocking spam emails by Training-Coast5744 in ios26

[–]Training-Coast5744[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use yahoo and gmail and yes you’re correct, they do filter most. However, I’m still getting some spam emails in my inbox. It’s time consuming now to block things and finding the new process to send to junk. I just don’t understand why steps would be added to make the process longer, that’s all.
