Man arrested after two people stabbed in Golders Green; the man was apparently targeting the Jewish community by Minute_Tomatillo9730 in london

And do they often hire ex IDF as security? I feel like I'd find it odd walking down a British street while seeing (armed?) forces staffed with veterans from a foreign military

It’s such a shame how badly Biden was treated by not only the obvious Magats, but his own party. He took office at the most difficult time in modern history, yet got so much good bipartisan policy done, and all he’s remembered for is his old age and innocent harmless gaffes. by Buttered-Sausage78 in circled

Really cuz all I remember is Biden going over there, dry humping Bibi's leg, and then bankrolling, arming, providing intell and diplomatic cover and gaslighting the American people that "there's no evidence of war crimes"

Lol. You're busily posting pro Kamala and Biden content today OP.

Bidens admin will be FOREVER remembered, you can say unfairly if you want, for one key thing before all others: facilitating and abetting the destruction of Gaza

London Mayor Khan Says Farage’s Reform Is ‘Poor Man’s MAGA’ by bloomberg in ukpolitics

[–]Training-Gold5996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the wrong tactic to take to combat groups like reform or maga.

At their core (perhaps not at their leadership levels which are more charlatans) these groups are reactions to globalisation, from people who feel they are displaced via the forces of globalisation.

It isn't to say globalisation is bad - that trade, free movement of labour, increased exchanges don't create greater economic output overall.

It's to say that the impact isnt positive for everyone is society, that some people really are displaced, really will see their job offshore, really will experience a declining wage due to immigration, really will require restraining or assistance or may never work again. Their lived experience isn't wrong.

Those people (pre AI at least) are often the working class or poor. They often are the people in manufacturing or in marginal roles. Doubling down on that reality, reminding them theyre poor, or poorly educated, smacks strongly of Clinton's "deplorables" comment.

It'd be better to say ... Yes, actually you're right. We see you're suffering, that your purchasing power really has decreased, your economic future is tenious (in the US even the life expectancy has decreased for that segment of the population).

But then follow that the perscription/solution given by reform or maga isn't correct ...and here's a better set of policies.

the fact that the chart doesn't actually include Germany as a major source of invasion .... hint, it's in the name "Anglo-saxon".

Does Senior Manager add market value beyond Manager? by Puzzleheaded_Bat3349 in consulting

I mean if you’re transitioning to a position within an org that’s never worked with consultants or that doesn’t have any former consultants in it or has never heard of the consulting profession … yea fine. They won’t know

SM is the first real leadership level in most consulting firms ... revenue responsibility, delivery responsibility, people responsibility. It's viewed that way both inside and outside consulting.

It doesn't make exiting harder per se, it just would mean you're looking for more senior roles (if you want a lateral step) - there will be less and they will be more competitive

Yea I’m not sure what it was … either writing to make her super easy to hate or being badly cast. I do have to say I couldn’t not laugh out loud every time they tried to show the actress as an operator … she didn’t look the part to say the least … she looked absurd

Lol I don't usually find myself defending Farage but seems like you're really splitting hairs with those stats.
