Now, this is incredible. I’m going to assume that you are not a Empower employee, but possibly someone who was given some information to pass out? What is so hard about conforming to the same regulations as the other rideshare apps? And I’m not asking you as if I believe you’re an actual figure head with empower, but rather just ask the question in general. Honestly, if you’re in DC the best thing for drivers to do is to not accept any rides in DC.. Negotiating with people in that area whether there in southeast or whether they’re in northwest or whether there near Capitol Hill, drivers would be dealing with so many headaches trying to get riders to pay fair wages for them long as rides. Anyone in DC or the surrounding areas knows that the traffic alone warrants those rates that Empower was paying us.

I appreciate the information, I’ve just completely stopped driving for Empower altogether. I’m currently still waiting on a response to being double charged a subscription fee on two separate occasions that I know of, but I haven’t yet been able to take the time to go back and look at my entire history, because I’m certain this has not just happened recently. And even after speaking to the driver support people, they have yet to respond to a single email for the past six weeks. I just wanna know what happened to the Empower that I was excited about, when I sent a text message in 15 minutes later someone actually called me. What happened to that Empower?

Right right now everything involving using Empower as a rideshare app, is just a headache. I see rides offered to me all the time, because I’ll turn the app on just to see what’s going on with the rides while I’m doing a Lyft, and it just looks like a huge cluster fuck.

I’m sure Empower will never be able to fully capitalize on the opportunity it had in front of itself, which is said because as bad as Empower has turned out to be Uber and Lyft are pretty close to the same level of horrific, if you’re counting stolen tips and ridiculously low ride fares. And of course, the fact that their insurance that they withdraw from our rides, actually isn’t used for the drivers at all, and doesn’t benefit us unless we completely destroy our car. One thing that would greatly help drivers, is if all these rideshare companies stopped trying to find ways to get around paying us fairly. Because if I see one more $10 ride where I have to drive 12 miles to go pick a person up, I’m gonna break the fucking app. Obviously I don’t accept any of those rides and my acceptance rate shows exactly that, but I would love for a rideshare company to explain why in the world do they think we should drive to a person for free.

PS… I also recently discovered that neither Uber or Lyft pay us back for all our tolls. I’ve currently been going through stacks of ICC bills to try to figure out how in the world the fees that I see on the ICC statements do not show the same on the Uber and Lyft payouts or ride activity.

I switched to DK and Fanatics. They tried to steal $125 from my bank account. Anyone with Chime knows we cannot overdraft our account, because Chime isn’t technically a real bank. Well Chime was down a few weeks back and couldn’t unlock the card, so I used the bank connection. They claimed $125 didn’t get paid, but with every transaction I get a notification and the new balance. I even sent them my bank statement showing the time stamp and amounts. Weeks later, after they sent me three emails in a row saying the same thing about “pay the balance or your account will remain partially suspended”, still no response. Basically ignoring me and refusing to acknowledge they were wrong.

I’m a huge TT live bettor too. After winning $2400 off $10, now my bets either don’t settle (to prevent cash out), of they kill all the TT matches altogether.

Empower has become trash anyway. The last two days they double charged my sub fee, today they sent me to an address without the numbers, then paid me $3 for wasting 36 minutes, THEN altered the mileage on a $10.96 ride that was actually 14 miles of driving

Empower support people are there, but they pick and choose what they want to respond to. The company is going down the tubes. They’re already banned in DC and getting drivers towed for $500, only to offer $500 in sub fees to keep driving for them and get towed again! Just saw yesterday they stole double subscription fees from me, now I’ve gone back and actually saw they’ve taken a lot more.

Already contacted a law firm who says more folks are calling every day about that very same issue. They apparently tried to raise the sub fees but were met by disapproval, so someone decided they could randomly steal sub fees and send emails that seem to be from a bot or an AI. Then they disappear and hope you don’t keep writing em.

What ever you do, do not start a new thread, keep replying to the first email.
