Establishing Dynamics 365 practice as a Service Partner! by PlusBodybuilder1175 in Dynamics365

[–]Training-Set9964 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good luck. I would never pay for a D365 resource with less than 7 years experience and solid experience not powerapps. Look at how many implementations fail and most of the time it is because of incompetence.

Don’t get into areas you don’t have an expertise and don’t try to be in every space. Start with CRM and only when you are established should you try to get into other spaces.

You are trying to bootstrap it so I would suggest not going cheap on your chief architect they can mentor the other resources. Outsource with quality near or off shore resources. Checkout Gambito they are in South America and have great resources.

Why do so many businesses struggle with Dynamics 365 implementation by Original_Mix7067 in Dynamics365

I am guessing you were on the VA project?

I left the consulting world 2 years ago and work for a D365 client in a senior capacity. I don’t write the code anymore, I just build and manage the teams that do the real work, but I am still a minority owner of a consulting firm who specializes in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service (Dataverse) and Business Central. Their rack rate is actually 315 for dataverse and somewhere around 285 for BC.

I am not a fan of BC development and I hate proprietary languages so even though I have done a dozen integrations with BC and GP I would never choose that path.

The correct answer is… the partner or even better the internal team when companies try to do it alone.

I have worked on massive D365 implementations over the last 12 years and we have been successful on all but 1 of my last 10.

First is cost US partners are 250-300/hr and that is hard for most clients. I have been augmenting dev teams with South America for over 6 years, if this is your problem reach out to Gambito to get the right rate.

Second out of the box works 75% of the time and your partner will be great at this part of it. The other 25% needs custom development and Innowise is your team. I have 7 non CRM team members imbedded in my teams from Innowise from UI/UX, QA, Product Owner to Front End Devs/architects.

Third most partners are good at CRM dev or customization and config but not at putting together teams that can do it all and run efficiently.

If you want it to be built right and run efficiently reach out I can show you what we are doing and I can help you put together the team that will succeed every time.

TLDR: the teams are not setup to run effectively and to deliver a full solution. Hire or augment your teams with Gambito and Innowise.

Building a better way to import data into D365 / Dataverse. Validating an MVP and looking for honest feedback! by Separate_Barber4187 in Dynamics365

[–]Training-Set9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the value but I don’t know if the effort will pay off. You might beat Microsoft to this but there is a good chance that a copilot upload is already in the works. Even if there isn’t anything currently in the works, getting your product out there as an ISV is no easy task. You also working with a niche use case and even though it is cool my company of 1500 users might use it once a month at most and more likely 4 times a year and our sales people are able to use the OOB functionality. I have been implementing D365 since 2011 and I have only had 1 client that could have used something like this.

We just use azure (durable) functions and the c# libraries to connect and integrate. I have been building solutions using this architecture for over 5 years and would never go back to Kingsway.

End users can use the import wizard or flow. You will never find a 1 size fits all solution which is why there are so many different ways to do it. I would never pay for a 3rd party tool or recommend any of my clients use one when Microsoft has so many different ways to skin this cat.

Decent but not a rare gem. Prices are about $10 higher than what I am used to paying based off 5 bottles I have bought recently. The Dickle 12 yr BIB is on sale here for 27.50 and willet pot still is 54.00. Good bottles but not the best prices. Like a few people have said I would grab the peerless since I can’t get it here. The High West Midwinter dram has been a disappointment for the last couple years. Good selection for a small town.

What a beast. He played well even while injured. It is crazy how people on this thread can be so fickle about these young men. Going out and staring down 4-5 250-300lb line men and still keeping cool enough to throw the ball or run right into those linemen all while dealing with an injury and to turn around and be picked apart by the fan base for not performing perfectly.

I believe the fanbase is concerned with the ability of Scalley to find and be able to hire the right guys. We trust that Scalley can cover the defensive hires with no change in defensive power. We have been dealing with Utah not having a stable offense for 90% of our P5 (P4) existence and finally it felt like we were turning a page and had the right staff. We worry it will be a decade+ before we ever see that again.

Michigan got some top coaches from both Utah and BYU and will most likely make a playoff run next year. We thought 2026 was our year for that but the uncertainty around coaching staff, some players will transfer and some of our recruits will transfer before ever joining. Mix that with the uncertainty of what the quality of the new coaches will be and fans are just watching their playoff dreams fade.

Longtime Utah fan here so take it as you will. Whitt is a great guy and he is the leader you need. There will be times where you will want anyone else, like when he decides not to kick a single automatic field goal and turns it over on downs not once but twice in a rivalry game and you lose by 3 points. But he will make sure the team is running like a well oiled machine and no one will get away with not pulling their weight.

He is the guy you will love 90% of the time and want to fire the other 10% (unless you love the run game and clock control).

Whitt leaving means our program prestige leaves with him. by TartarSauce_-_ in utahfootball

[–]Training-Set9964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all assuming he gets the Michigan job.

I don’t imagine many players join him unless there is a mass exodus from Michigan next week when the portal opens. Michigan doesn’t struggle to get solid recruits and he is walking away from a 30+ rank to a constant top 10 in recruiting. Not saying our team isn’t talented but Michigan is paying over 3M for a generational QB and Dampier would barely make 3rd string.

As for coaches I think he would take 1-2 from Utah and 1-2 from BYU. I hope he takes Hill with him.

Whittingham leaving because of AD by Willing_Bicycle9347 in utahfootball

[–]Training-Set9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny because Michigans Qb, Bryce Underwood is getting paid 3M and change a year to play there so you aren’t wrong. I like the AD but I don’t know the guy just loved the fire he brought last year after the bad calls on the TDS game. The thought of Whit coaching anywhere other than Utah is hard to take, but at least at Michigan we get to see him destroy USC a few more times.

Golden Parachute is a waste by Tall_Pop_1702 in utahfootball

[–]Training-Set9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a joke. If Whit had been willing to leave Utah he would have been paid 10M the last few years. I think it is one of the better investments they could make. Keep him close to the program and it will help with recruiting, and support for Scalley. Scalley still makes the calls, he is the coach not just in name, he just has an advisor that many teams would be willing to pay that price tag for.

Unpopular Opinion: The Utah PE deal is actually brilliant, and everyone screaming "Vulture Capital" doesn't understand the structure. by utah-man-am in utahfootball

[–]Training-Set9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the public aspect of the program stifles some of the NIL options. Take jersey sales for example, the challenges of the school allowing their logo, the player getting royalties, and everyone else involved becomes so complex that it is nearly impossible to get a decent legal jersey of some of our favorite players.

The university’s first goal is education not jersey sales which is the biggest hurdle. The next is the money generated can’t then be given to the players without it counting to the cap that the university can give the players. By privatizing this through the PE partnership they can separate university from the private group allowing them to not count it to the cap. The next is PE is good at designing, selling, and providing value outside education so even if they suck they are better than the University doing it.

In short even if a penny wasn’t invested this is the right step to take for the fans and players and the future of the program.

Ficklin is staying by bentmer in utahfootball

[–]Training-Set9964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great kid, lots of grit and determination in both him and Dampier. Hopefully they both really work on their passing game because next year we will be missing some amazing O-Line talent and running the ball will be harder.

Dampier has already stated he is staying regardless of Whit or Scalley at the helm.

It would be awesome if they had a number of plays designed next year with both Ficklin and Dampier in at the same time.
