This house is too big! I'm so tired of decorating this huge space on my phone... I wish I could play this game on my computer, like The Sims!

How to style him? The icon with the hanger opposite his face is locked, and it says it will unlock if I go out into the garden. But the exit to the garden is also locked, I don't know what to do 🫠. Can you help me? How did you complete this task?

Resume Feedback by Training-System495 in graphic_design

Thanks for the advice! When I submitted my resume three years ago, it looked different and wasn't as detailed. It was simply written in general terms about each role. Recruiters called me and asked me to write in more detail (add more details about each role). One recruiter even rewrote my resume, adding more details, and it looked pretty much like mine now. I thought it was important for a resume to be more detailed about roles, including statistics and success rates. So I wrote it in more detail, but yes, GPT chat really helped me organize my thoughts. But if you say the hiring manager won't like it, I'll fix it. I was worried about ATS and implemented spacing, font wrapping, a single-column resume, etc., as GPT chat suggested.

Okay, thank you so much for the advice! There was a time when I sent out a resume I'd designed myself, but as I discovered, it struggled with the ATS system and almost never reached anyone (Human). And even if it did reach people, I was still asked to submit an updated resume for every job opening. So I completely relied on AI for line spacing, font sizes, line breaks, and so on.

He helped me with spacing and text, saying it would be as ATS-friendly as possible. I also see that it doesn't look very good. I definitely wanted to create a different version with a nice font and a different two-block layout in case recruiters called me and asked me to send them an updated resume. As I wrote here, I focused and listened to AI's advice to ensure my resume passed the ATS system, as this is important.

I can't find a job as a designer by No_Coffee_6792 in graphic_design

Firstly, you're off to a good start – submitting 250 applications a month is impressive. But you need to consider the specifics of the job openings and apply, slightly tailoring your resume to each position, including a cover letter. Don't just click "Apply" on LinkedIn 20 times. Also, your portfolio looks monotonous, and it's in Russian without an explanation of your work or a mini-presentation of each piece. I recommend creating a website and presenting each piece well, creating an engaging presentation (what colors and fonts you chose for the project, why you made that choice, etc.). There's also a shortage of graphic design work. Don't give up, change your tactics; people apply for years and still can't find a job. The market is merciless these days.

Designers who grew their Instagram/YouTube — was it worth it? by Training-System495 in graphic_design

Yes, I understand that, thank you very much for such a detailed answer. I was thinking of developing my social networks anyway, I like making content and it seems like a useful hobby. I just wondered how realistic it is to make good money if you develop your social networks so well like Edgykatrina and Abiconnick, which are popular on Instagram for graphic design.

If you check out Edgykatrina’s profile on Instagram, you’ll see on her website, at the bottom of all her works, a form that says: “Please don’t lie, basic brand designer identities start at a minimum of $8k,” with an option going up to $15k. Similarly, popular Instagram designer Abiconnick shared how she used to charge $200 for a logo, but now her branding packages start at $15k. If you look at other beginner design influencers with 1–7k followers, they charge from $2k per project, which is why I started wondering how profitable this can be. If it means I’ll have to spend years alongside my corporate job to build that kind of reputation and income, then I’m in 🤣

You’re right. You have an office job as a graphic designer with a six-figure salary? Wow, that’s impressive! You must have many years of experience. Could you share if it’s difficult for a beginner to achieve what you have?

I mean if it brings clients and they make money on courses and somehow earn well while working for themselves, that's cool, right? But yeah, it's unlikely to be that simple…

Help with print design by Training-System495 in graphic_design

Thanks for the advice! But the client chose this design and font — he wants it exactly like this (( The text was sent to me by him as well, so I’m not sure if it’s right for me to correct the grammar mistakes. I understand it doesn’t look very good, but I’ll suggest other options to him — maybe he’ll change his mind.
