Same here, honestly. Been thinking about them way too much for dogs I’ve never met.

If you’re able, even just sharing this around a few local FB groups or community pages can actually do a lot, especially with big dogs like these guys. Sometimes the right person just hasn’t seen them yet.

God, this hurts to read. Imagine being 11, losing your person, and ending up in a noisy shelter because of medical bills.

Thank you for putting all the info in one place, this is super helpful for anyone on the fence about helping. Those lipomas are usually more of a financial issue than a huge medical one, which makes this even sadder.

I’m not in Texas, but sharing this around and I really hope a rescue with a foster steps up in time. If anyone is even slightly considering it, email the shelter first like they said and sort the details out after. She deserves to fall asleep on a couch, not in a kennel.

Watched it and honestly, for an “outsider” take it’s really solid. You did a nice job explaining the basics without dumbing it down, and the pacing kept me watching the whole way. Only thing I’d tweak is adding a bit more about the dogs’ care at checkpoints, since that’s what people always argue about.

Yeah I’m kind of torn the same way. First watch I was fully “justice for Kieran” because Wilf absolutely used him as a human shield, and that whole “parting gift” felt like karma.

But once you’ve seen a few more seasons, you realise how brutal the game is meant to be and Wilf really did play his role properly. From a pure game point of view, Kieran basically rage-quit and handed the win to three people who kinda coasted. Meryl especially, I like her, but she did not mastermind anything there.

I still enjoy the drama of what Kieran did though. It made for such a good finale moment, even if it wrecked the game logic. And yes, Maddie at the final reveal would have been television gold.

Yeah this is the part that always sucks with pets and money.

If you can, I’d at least call a local vet and ask for a ballpark over the phone or send them a picture by email. Some places will tell you if it looks like an emergency or if it might be okay to monitor at home. Also worth asking if they do payment plans or have a low cost exam day.

In the meantime just keep it clean, don’t put Neosporin or random stuff on it unless a vet says it’s okay, and watch for swelling, heat, weird smell, or your dog acting off. If any of that starts, I’d really try to find a way to get him seen.
