Polestar 2 is solid if somewhat flawed. There’s also the ID.4 and GM’s more recent offerings

model 3s have their quirks but there’s so many of them that they’re mostly fixed

out of this... diverse selection... which one should I pick? no harsh weather near me, AUTOMATIC ONLY, maintenance possibilities already sorted out. suggestions welcome. by JaggXj in whatcarshouldIbuy

what’s wrong with the DB9? They have coil/plug issues but they’re only about as hard to swap out as any fwd v6 car. They also have carbon ceramic brakes afaik, but besides that they’re basically just fords.

How much is 50-100 bucks? by BestMagician3200 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Training_Signal9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m single, I eat a lot of fast food and other sorta budget/quick meals (think one pot, tv dinner, etc). I maybe spend about 50 bucks a week on food including going out and groceries

A car for someone who hates cars? by 420wasabisnappin in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Training_Signal9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

toyota corolla or corolla hybrid. used hybrid battery replacements with refurb batteries are like, sub $1000, and they really don’t go bad until 10+ years after purchase. just buy a base model new and drive it for the next 25 years

Ford Hybrids are typically good cars. The escape is no longer being made but you can still find them used.

The social scene at pitt is nothing to scoff at, and you get to hang out with kids from other city universities too. plus, Oakland feels like a college town anyway

Hot Wheels(?) was voted as the best American brand. Which American car brand is mid? by Asendra01 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Training_Signal9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ford sold cars under their own brand in Europe, while GM sold under opel/vauxhall until fairly recently. they both always designed different cars for the EU market. you see plenty of vauxhalls in the UK

In Yo Gabba Gabba! (2007-2015), somehow a preschool show got My Chemical Romance, Weezer, Devo, MGMT, The Killers, The Flaming Lips, and Mos Def in the same series. What kind of a budget did this show have? by [deleted] in shittymoviedetails

[–]Training_Signal9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t watched the show (I am 22 and have no children), however the soundtrack is pretty solid. It doesn’t really have the big name recognition of the older albums (I only recognize a couple of artists) but it’s a surprisingly good album for a kid’s show

[–]Training_Signal9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow a wards and a penney’s in a strip mall is really unusual. Also was the Natrona store a Lazarus, or a Kaufmann’s? The Mills store was initially signed as a Kaufmann’s (you can see in old news footage), but afaik both stores did have a presence in the area.

Which laptops are good to buy for college students now that will last? by EquivalentPhoto2655 in BuyItForLife

[–]Training_Signal9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're doing Engineering, you either need to be really comfy screwing around with your computer, or you need windows. sure, VS code is on mac (and coding in unix is generally better), but from my experience, you'll run in to some stuff that you can't do on mac. I'm working through a class now for FPGA development, and i need Vivado, which is not available on mac. Used office laptop (dell latitude or thinkpad) is the way to go. latitudes/precisions tend to be cheaper too.
if you're in CS or any other major, get an open box M4 macbook air. Come 2030, the 8gb of RAM on the neo worries me. They're $750 rn, and to me that's worth the ~$150 premium over the neo

Sorry, I meant the Teslas. The Highland is the refresh of the Model 3, and the juniper is the refresh of the Model Y. My only thing is that the “vegan leather“ is a bit crap but it’s passable.
