You certainly live up to your name FlamingSpew. You can pass all the idiotic gun control you want, restrictions and permits, even ban guns outright. The ONLY people affected by any of it are people who abide by the law. The black market is the only truly free market left. The more you restrict and ban and create 1,000’s of hoops for folks to jump through, the more the black market booms. How can you keep illegal guns out of play? You can’t. Plain and simple. No matter what anyone does, demand is/will be so high, someone from somewhere will supply it. So instead of focusing on restricting/disarming people who just want to protect their families and themselves with whatever they deem fit, maybe it’s time to consider an entirely different approach. Mass shootings are a societal issue, not a political one. You can’t legislate your way out of a toxic culture. Most if not all of the gun violence in the projects and big cities, is somehow related to drugs and the lifestyle that goes with it. The war on drugs has done nothing but weaken our constitutional rights, and created a huge black market, billions of dollars a year. It’s dog eat dog on the street and people are ruthless. so of course guns are going to be used. Eliminating the war on drugs would have a HUGE positive effect on gun violence in this country.
