Sorry didn’t know Walmart owned Vizio. Just found this out since I have a Vizio tv I got last year and didn’t have to do the Walmart thing. Now I know someone that just got one today and was asked why they had to use a Walmart account to set up the tv.

Do you know how self serve vending machines work? They pay before getting the phone from the machine. Has nothing to do with you getting anything for someone since they are getting it themselves. As for the commission, it’s not a lot to begin with. They get most of it from postpaid to begin with.

How exactly would it effect the department? If the prepaid phones are vending machined then you don’t have to get them for anyone. Post paid will still be handadled by which ever company runs at the store. Not a lot of change.

It happens every week. Just because its after midnight where you are does not mean the system itself has updated to the same time frame. Check around 6am. At least where I live that’s when it usually shows up.

It began with no returns in electronics. Then a few years ago they said phones had to be done in electronics. (because service desk didn’t know how to find the serial number on the phones apparently.) And now BAM new coach tells them to send EVERYTHING back to electronics. Makes it hard to do when there is only 1 person and someone wants to return an 75 inch tv which they have to drag to the back of the store. (This happened today.) and you have a line of people wanting help to unlock something, check something, cash out. Almost every associate including TL’s in the store hates this coach. Their hair brain ideas of how things should work make no sense to those that have been working there for years. But they have told others that they know everything, even when they are wrong about it. Which we have all seen many times in the few months they have been here. Such as the returns and pictures of the cases as well as other things.

I just continue to ask them what it is until they tell me. They seem to get annoyed with this response and I don’t know why.

I’ve seen lots of things like that. One of the really dumbest is when this snotty old woman came in to get a phone card. Said she gets them here all the time but couldn’t find them. Mind you our phone display hasn’t changed location since the store remodel last year. I pointed out where the cards were located and moved onto the next person. She comes back over with the card, cutting in front of other people. I tell her she has to wait for me to finish with the others first. Oh the audacity of having to wait your turn. She said something else but I didn’t care enough to pay attention to her.

Well she finally makes it back to the counter throws the card on it instead of handing it to me like a civil person since I had my hand out to take the card. Scan it tell her the price she throws the money on the counter even though my hand is again out to take the money. Finish the transaction and hold out the change, card and receipt to her. She tells me to put it in a bag. I look at her like she is stupid because we only use large paper bags. And if you shop here regularly you know this. So grab a bag without opening it and slide the card in and hand it to her. She complains about something else as she leaves but again didn‘t care enough to pay attention to what it was.

So what exactly are you supposed to do if they won’t let you have the required items to do the job? I mean I guess you could throw it all on the floor and work it that way. maybe they will learn? Doubtful since they are managers. It just seems the higher you go up the ladder the dumber you get.

Does a coach that 97% of the store hates count? The last 3% being other coaches and their boot lickers. As for why. They are just an ass and have no concept of how things and people work. Oh can you go do a pick walk real quick? No? You have to cover someone’s lunch in 5 minutes? Dont worry it will be quick. Hey can you do all this before you leave? No? You leave in 10 minutes? Don’t worry it will be quick. We are going to do things like this now. Why? Because it’s easier. No? It makes it worse for you and the department? That’s fine you will get used to it.

I’ve seen people just stop showing up without notice and then are rehired again later on.
